Figueredo Gets Aces to Fold

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

"You got it," the opponent of Murilo Figueredo said when the completed board of {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} brought a bet by the Brazilian. His opponent mucked the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} face-up and another player remarked "he didn't call". A somewhat confused Figueredo had first shown the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and then also exposed his {q-Spades}{6-Spades} as well.

Figueredo was then explained that he didn't have to show as his opponent had mucked.

"This hand never happened," the dealer remarked with a grin on the face.

Butler Busts Gallagher

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

"I rivered enough to call into such a big pot," Robert Tanita mentioned in table chat just as he had mucked the cards after a three-way hand. Christopher Gallagher had been at risk with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} but missed a straight and low on the {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Spades} runout. Instead, the entire pot was awarded to Brandon Butler who had flopped the best of it with the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} for a straight.

Glaser Eliminated by Epstein

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Benny Glaser
Benny Glaser

Scott Epstein defended the big blind and then raised the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop against Benny Glaser, who had opened from early position. Glaser called and had just a few chips behind, which he then committed on the {5-Diamonds} turn when Epstein bet.

Benny Glaser: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Scott Epstein: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Glaser's inferior flush was drawing dead already and that made the {2-Diamonds} river a formality as the Brit exited only a few spots away from the money bubble.

Baumstein Scoops Gupta

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Scott Baumstein raised in the hijack and was called by Ashish Gupta in the big blind. The flop brought {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} on which Gupta check-called a bet by Baumstein. Both checked the {2-Spades} turn and the {j-Spades} river completed the board.

Gupta check-called another bet and mucked when he was shown the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for aces up and a low.

Butler and David Take Another Pot to the Chopping Block

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

On a three way flop of {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} Jesse David in the small blind bet, followed by a fold from the middle position and a call from Brandon Butler on the button.

A turn {k-Clubs} led to another bet from David and a call from Butler.

The river came the {3-Spades} and both players checked.

Butler showed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and David tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for one pair to take the high.

Saechao Gets Shorter Close to the Bubble

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

With plenty of chips already in the middle to the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts} turn, Kao "Flexx" Saechao bet and had two green T-25,000 chips in the middle. However, he then faced the raise by Israel Garcia and went into a short tank. Saechao eventually conceded the pots with a "aces no good?!" without showing his cards.

Likewise, Garcia just tossed 'em towards the muck before collecting the chips.
