Cates Wins Two PLO Pots in a Row

Level 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Benny Glaser limped the small blind and then called a raise by Dan Cates in the big blind. On the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, Glaser check-called a bet for 125,000 and check-folded the {4-Hearts} turn when Cates bet 380,000.

One hand later, Matthew Ashton raised to 110,000 in the cutoff for Cates in the small blind and Taylor Paur in the big blind to call. The {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop was checked to Ashton, who made it 200,000 to go. He received two calls and the {j-Spades} turn was checked.

After the {8-Diamonds} river, Cates bet what appeared to be 360,000 and earned the next pot when his two opponents folded.

"I don't have much," Cates said as he grabbed his cards and exposed three spades for a potential straight.
