Racener and Yockey Chop Up Profit Versus Chait
Omaha Hi-Lo
The first three hands of Omaha Hi-Lo were raise and take it preflop. What followed was a very long and intense three-way pot in which Craig Chait lost a significant portion of his stack.
It all started with a hijack raise by Bryce Yockey and Chait called in the cutoff, John Racener flat-called in the big blind. On the flop, Racener checked and Yockey bet for both opponents to call.
The on the turn was checked all the way and Racener then led the on the river. Yockey raised and that sent Chait into the tank, he eventually opted to call the raise. Racener made it three bets and Yockey called after some consideration as Chait was sent into another tank.
Finally, Chait called and Racener revealed the for the nut low and a straight. Yockey had the for aces full and Chait immediately said "I know what you had ... " before telling his table neighbour "you could have reraised".
That's when Yockey finally broke his silence and mentioned "I wasn't sure if you would have called." Chait's chips in the pot were chopped and Racener extended his lead.
