Yu and Kempton Double Through Mermelstein

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Veselin Karakitukov raised to 60,000 and Aaron Mermelstein three-bet to 200,000. Ben Yu then four-bet jammed his last 330,000 and Karakitukov folded while Mermelstein called.

Ben Yu: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Aaron Mermelstein: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

On a board of {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}, both players made a set and Yu more than doubled.

Mermelstein then raised and called a three-bet to 215,000 by Isaac Kempton on the button, who had 30,000 behind to the {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop. Mermelstein bet 30,000 and Kempton called all-in.

Isaac Kempton: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Aaron Mermelstein: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The {8-Hearts} turn improved Kempton to the superior straight and he held onto the lead thanks to the {2-Clubs} river.
