Back to the Drawing Board for Kornuth

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Chance Kornuth defended the big blind and then led the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Spades} turn before leading the pot on the {7-Clubs} river. Fabian Brandes called all-in for 1,020,000 and Kornuth flashed a {a-Hearts}{7-}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Brandes had the nuts with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for quads sixes and scored the full double up, nearly evening out the stacks.

"It was worth a try," Kornuth said with a grin on the face before then adding "back to the drawing board."
