Boyadjian's Bluff Doesn't Get Through

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Paul Marzarella

Following an open raise to 800 and two calls including David Kim on the button, Paul Marzarella three-bet to 4,500 in the big blind and was called by Yervand Boyadjian in a middling position and Kim. The flop fell {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Marzarella bet 5,000 for Boyadjian to raise to 13,700, which forced a fold from Kim and earned a call from Marzarella.

After the {q-Clubs} turn, Marzarella checked and Boyadjian announced a bet of 12,800. As he splashed in the chips, Marzarella tried to eyeball the stack of his opponent and Boyadjian immediately said "I have 50 behind, I have you covered" to then earn a call.

Marzarella then checked the {10-Hearts} on the river. Boyadjian jammed and Marzarella called all-in for the 12,800 he had behind. "I knew it," Boyadjian sighed as he flashed the {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a bluff gone wrong and Marzarella doubled with his {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for queens and jacks.
