Burkhart Loses Some Ground

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Jacqueline Burkhart
Jacqueline Burkhart

Jacqueline Burkhart raised to 1,200 and Garry Gates three-bet to 3,000. Burkhart four-bet to 10,000 and earned a snap-fold.

In the next hand, Burkhart raised to 1,200 once more and was called by the big blind. Burkhart bet the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop for 1,600 when checked to and picked up a call. The {4-Spades} turn was bet for 2,000 by the big blind and the {9-Hearts} river brought another bet worth 15,000. Burkhart called the first bet and surrendered therafter.

Fast forward to the next hand, Burkhart raised to 1,200 once more and this time three opponents called. The {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop was checked to Demetrios Kappatos and he bet 4,100 in the cutoff, earning a call from Burkhart only. She then check-called another 7,000 on the {q-Spades} turn and checked the {9-Spades} river. Kappatos checked behind and won the pot with the {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the bottom set.

"Not what I expected," Burkhart said in table chat after she dropped to nearly the starting stack again.
