Morales Doubles, Takes One Orbit Off

Level 34 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Anatolii Zyrin raised to 1,000,000 in middle position and Gabriel Morales shipped all in for 5,050,000 on the button. As Zyrin was in the tank, Morales started discussing his hand, trying to get Zyrin to fold. Zyrin ended up making the call and the cards were tabled.

Gabriel Morales: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Anatolii Zyrin: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

There was a {j-Spades} in the window for Zyrin but it quickly followed with the {k-Diamonds} and {2-Clubs} to give Morales a set of deuces. The {9-Spades} on the turn and the {7-Clubs} on the river gave Morales a double up but he was given a one-round penalty after the hand.

Hillock Flips Ashdown to the Rail

Level 34 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Vladas Tamasauskas opened to 1,075,000 in middle position before Dwayne Hillock shipped all-in for 4,725,000. Harrison Ashdown was in the blinds and stuck in the last of his 3,675,000 chips. Tamasauskas thought for a minute but decided to lay his hand down.

Harrison Ashdown: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Dwayne Hillock: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and the flop of {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} left Hillock in the lead with his pair of sixes. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river provided no help for Ashdown who was eliminated.
