Spurlin Doubles Through Sandrock

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jordan Spurlin
Jordan Spurlin

Jonathan Witz limped and Jeremy Ausmus raised to 110,000, which Chris Sandrock called and Witz folded. On the {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop both players checked and Ausmus then bet the {j-Spades} turn for 250,000, Sandrock folded.

Next, a four-way pot emerged to the {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop on which Sandrock in the cutoff bet 150,000. Anderson Ireland called on the button and Jonathan Spurlin in the small blind check-called. Ausmus check-folded and they headed to the {k-Diamonds} on the turn. Spurlin checked, Sandrock then bet what appeared to be 425,000.

That forced out Ireland but Spurlin jammed for 800,000 total to earn a reluctant call from Sandrock.

Jordan Spurlin: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Chris Sandrock: {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Spurlin held the bottom set and nut flush draw, which improved to a full house on the {6-Diamonds} river to secure his double up and put a dent into the big stack of Sandrock.
