Kornuth Regains the Lead

Level 14 : 0/0, 4,000 ante

A big pot was brewing between Chance Kornuth and Young Ko as they created a pot of 230,000 to the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts} turn. Kornuth had limp-called for 50,000 preflop, then check-called for 50,000 once more and checked his option for Ko to bet 150,000. What followed was the check-shove of Kornuth for 652,000 and Ko asked for a count.

He then tossed in the remaining two time-bank extensions and was deep in the tank. Eventually, the time ran out and Ko mucked his cards. "I was just too weak to call," he admitted as Kornuth sent his cards into the muck and collected the large pot.

"Maybe he had ace-jack of hearts," Dan Shak guessed. Ko immediately replied "that's impossible, I had the jack of hearts," and no further guesses happened thereafter.
