Shak the Far Shortest Stack; Gets Through With a Shove

Level 18 : 0/0, 10,000 ante

Chad Campbell limped in and then called a raise to 80,000 by Chance Kornuth in the cutoff to see the {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop. Campbell opted to check and Kornuth bet to get the job done.

Further small pots to the flop and turn followed but neither of them provided any major action. Dan Shak's stack dropped to just over half a million and Kornuth has more than three times of that.

Shak then limp-jammed for 527,000 and Kornuth forfeited his button raise to 100,000.

Campbell Takes A Bunch Off Shak

Level 18 : 0/0, 10,000 ante

Chad Campbell limped in and Dan Shak checked the option to the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop, on which Campbell bet 25,000 and Shak called. The {8-Diamonds} turn brought another bet for 60,000 by Campbell and Shak then raised to 200,000, earning a snap-call from Campbell.

Both checked the {8-Hearts} river and Campbell won the pot with {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for kings full of eights.

Campbell then piled it in the next hand and once Shak folded, he showed pocket kings.

Kornuth Back on the Rise

Level 18 : 0/0, 10,000 ante

Chad Campbell raised to 60,000 and Chance Kornuth stuck around in the cutoff. On a flop of {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Campbell opted to check and called a bet for 45,000. The turn brought a {10-Clubs} and Campbell check-folded to a larger bet of 170,000.

The next three-way limped pot to the {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} river saw Kornuth with a lead for 60,000 and that won the pot right there.

Campbell Adds More Chips

Level 18 : 0/0, 10,000 ante

Yet another three-way limped pot led to the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop on which Dan Shak and Chad Campbell checked to Chance Kornuth on the button. He bet 15,000 to earn two calls and Shak also checked the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. Campbell bet 70,000 and that won the pot right there.

Campbell then won another small pot off Shak when he bet a three-way flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for 50,000. Shak called and they checked it down on the {8-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river. Campbell revealed {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a wheel and dragged in another pot.

Shak Increases Stack Without Showdown

Level 18 : 0/0, 10,000 ante

Dan Shak limped and then called a raise to 60,000 by Chance Kornuth on the button. As the flop fell {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, Shak opted to check-call for 40,000 and they checked the {j-Hearts} on the turn. The board completed with the {6-Spades} and Shak led for 75,000. Campbell Retakes the Lead

Level 18 : 0/0, 10,000 ante

Chance Kornuth limped in and Dan Shak folded, while Chad Campbell checked his option on the button. The flop fell {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Kornuth went for a check-raise from 30,000 to 90,000, which earned a call from Campbell.

The {q-Clubs} turn was checked by Kornuth once more and Campbell made it 160,000 to go. Kornuth checked and they both checked the {10-Diamonds} river. Campbell flipped over the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for trips and that won the pot to send Campbell back into the lead.

More for Shak and Campbell

Level 18 : 0/0, 10,000 ante

Dan Shak raised to 85,000 as the first player to act and was called by Chad Campbell and Chance Kornuth. They headed to the {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop and Shak's bet of 200,000 did the trick to force two folds.

One hand later, Campbell raised to 80,000 and Kornuth was the only caller. They checked the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop and the {q-Diamonds} followed on the turn. Campbell now bet 110,000 and Kornuth let go.

Kornuth Jams Back Into the Lead

Level 18 : 0/0, 10,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chad Campbell limped in and Chance Kornuth raised to 80,000 in the cutoff, which Campbell called. The flop brought {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Campbell opted to check. That prompted a bet of 60,000 by Kornuth for Campbell to then raise it up to 200,000.

Kornuth reluctantly called and that led them to the {a-Hearts} on the turn. Campbell now bet 425,000, which represented a big portion of Kornuth's stack. He used two time bank extensions and then called to see the {q-Hearts} appear on the river.

Campbell now used a time bank extension to check and Kornuth jammed for 342,000 to force a quick fold from Campbell.
