Szabo Calls Correctly With Bottom Pair

Level 51 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Gabor Szabo limped in and Dan Zack raised to 120,000, which Szabo called. On the {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop both players checked and they did so again on the {10-Hearts} turn. Zack then bet the {a-Diamonds} river for 200,000 and Szabo mulled over his decision for a bit before making the call.

Immediately admitting defeat, Szabo pointed to his opponent and rolled over the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for a bluff as Szabo won the pot with {4-Spades}{3-Spades} for the bottom pair.

Zack then got a few jams through but remained below ten big blinds.

Zack Loses Chunk of His Stack

Level 51 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Gabor Szabo had raised to 80,000 from the button and Dan Zack defended.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for Zack to check-call the 50,000 bet of Szabo.

They both checked through the {q-Hearts} on the turn to the {a-Hearts} on the river. Zack checked for the final time but raised to 800,000 when Szabo fired out a bet of 185,000. Szabo tanked for a while but made the call in the end. Zack tabled the {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for top two pair but Szabo showed the {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for the nut-flush.
