Break

Level 18 : 125,000/250,000, 30,000 ante

With the eliminations of Michael Lech and Lucas Tabarin just before the break, 29 remaining players will take six before returning to action.

In the final hand before the break, Thomas Ward, holding {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}, picked off a {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} bluff from Dingxiang Ong on a {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board for the majority of his stack.

Tabarin Eliminated by Cohen

Lucas Tabarin open-shoved from the button for the last 3,013,447 and Avian Cohen reshoved for more than three times of that to isolate successfully.

Lucas Tabarin: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Avidan Cohen: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Cohen immediately flopped a set on {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} to reduce the outs of Tabarin to four. That increased after the {6-Spades} turn which opened a flushdraw but a blank {8-Diamonds} river sent Tabarin out in 30th place for $55,880.

Michael Lech
Michael Lech

Michael Lech raised to 511,695 in the hijack and Satoshi Isomae three-bet the button to 1,637,568. Lech moved all in for the 5,789,482 he had behind and Isomae called.

Michael Lech:{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Satoshi Isomae: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

It was a classic flip and Isomae took the lead on the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop. The {2-Hearts} turn provided no further outs for Lech and the {2-Diamonds} river sealed his fate in 31st place for $55,880.

Brewer loses straight versus full house

With the field down to four tables, Kelly Wong raised to 500,000 on the button and Chris Brewer called from the big blind. The flop was {6-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and Brewer checked. Wong bet 400,000 and Brewer called. Both players checked the {j-Diamonds} on the turn.

The river was another {j-Diamonds} and Brewer used his time bank before moving all in for 1,825,702. Wong snapped him off with {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for a rivered full house, while Brewer had {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a turned straight. The American high roller finished in 32nd place.

Stuer Doubles Through Martiradonna

Aleksandr Trofimov lost a flip with {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} versus ace-king and the table closed right after as the final four tables had been reached.

It would not take long for the next all in showdown as Julian Stuer three-bet jammed a short stack out of the small blind and was called by Mariano Martiradonna in middle position.

Julian Stuer: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Mariano Martiradonna: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} as Stuer spiked the queen on the river.

Another Two-Outer Hits

Level 18 : 125,000/250,000, 30,000 ante

It's been the night of the lesser pocket pair so far as Tzai Wei Phua also hit a fortuitous flop despite going in as a huge underdog. Phua three-bet shoved {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for 3,493,838 after a raise from Mariano Martiradonna.

Dinesh Alt reshoved with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} but Phua found the {j-Diamonds} on the flop for a big double.

Lauck Loses It All In Three Hands

Level 18 : 125,000/250,000, 30,000 ante
Jonas Lauck
Jonas Lauck

In a battle of the blinds, Lucas Tabarin was all in with the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Jonas Lauck looked him up holding the {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts} an Tabarin turned superior two pair.

Lauck then jammed the button after a raise to 500,000 by Tabarin in the cutoff and Michael Lech called all-in in the small blind, Tabarin folded.

Michael Lech: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Jonas Lauck: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts} boarrd sent Lauck on just over two blinds.

A few hands later, Lauck moved all in from under the gun for 451,723 and Kelly Wong three-bet to 1,195,946. In the cutoff, Satoshi Isomae four-bet to 3,081,685 and that forced out Wong.

Jonas Lauck: {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Satoshi Isomae: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

There was no help for Lauck on a {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} board and he departed in 34th place.

Arce Busts Gasperin; Doubles Qi

Level 18 : 125,000/250,000, 30,000 ante
Gasperin eliminated by Arce
Gasperin eliminated by Arce

Martin Arce raised to 525,000 in the cutoff and was called by Maicon Gasperin in the small blind. Gasperin check-raised a {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop from 498,300 to 1,501,600 and Arce called. On the {6-Clubs} turn, Gasperin made it 1,739,356 to pick up a call and then jammed the {j-Diamonds} on the river for 5,598,378.

Arce opted to call and Gasperin tabled the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for kings and sixes. However, that was no good as Arce had rivered a straight with the {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Only three hands later, Arce three-bet jammed out of the big blind and initial raiser Xuming Qi called all-in.

Xuming Qi: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Martin Arce: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}

There was no upset this time on a boar of {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} to keep Qi in contention.

No sweat for Cohen during the {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades} rundown and he doubled up.
