Fireworks in Heads-Up

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 0 ante

Simon Lofberg pulled away by earning a 3.2 million pot with {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} against he {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} of Andreas Torbergsen on a board of {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Torbergsen won a few medium-sized pots and they then clashed when both had invested 3.6 million preflop and the rest went in after the {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop.

Simon Lofberg: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Lofberg was on the verge of victory as the {j-Diamonds} turn came a blank but Torbergsen spiked the miracle {9-Hearts} river.

What followed was a battle as the chips went back and fourth. Eventually, Lofberg hit a streak of seven hands out of nine to regain the lead. After the blinds had gone up, a limped pot led to the {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop on which Lofberg check-called a min-bet. Lofberg bet the {3-Spades} turn for 557,000 to get called and the {3-Hearts} river was checked.

Lofberg tabled the {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a straight which had the {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for two pair of Torbergsen beat.
