Ajayi: "I Thought It Was the Cooler of a Lifetime"

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Adedapo Ajayi raised to 325,000 from middle position and Andy Hwang called next to act.

From the hijack, Zhen Cai three-bet to 925,000, and action folded back to Ajayi.

Ajayi four-bet to 2,600,000 total, and both Hwang and Cai folded.

"I thought it was a cooler of a lifetime," uttered Ajayi as he flashed the {a-Clubs}.

"I had an ace too," responded Cai.

"Well, you would have need to make some kind of straight then," returned Ajayi.

Big Double Up for Dempsey

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Jiwoon Kim was facing a raise before he three-bet to 900,000 on the button. Johnathan Dempsey four-bet shoved all in for 5,450,000 from the big blind and the action was back on Kim. He thought for a couple of minutes and then said "Let's gamble!" as he stuck in calling chips.

Johnathan Dempsey: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Jiwoon Kim: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Dempsey was in a dominating position but the flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} provided some chop outs. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {q-Hearts} on the river changed nothing and Dempsey held on for a double up.

Wynkoop check-called a bet of 225,000 from Schindler and the {10-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Wynkoop checked again and Schindler fired out another 800,000. Wynkoop let his hand go this time and Schindler dragged in another pot.

Su Catches Guay Bluffing

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Timothy Su bet 175,000 from early position on {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and David Guay raised to what looked like 780,000 in the big blind. Su called and both players checked the {2-Hearts}, bringing a {10-Diamonds}. Guay bet 1.8 million and the chips had barely hit the felt before Su verbalized a call.

Guay double-checked his holding then sent his cards into the muck without showing.

Action folded back to Wynkoop, and he called as the flop landed {2-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Wynkoop checked, and Duthweiler continued for 450,000. Wynkoop check-raised to 1,400,000, and Duthweiler mucked.

Eric Cloutier Eliminated in 78th Place ($98,120)

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Eric Cloutier
Eric Cloutier

On the secondary feature table, Nicholas Danias opened the action from the cutoff with a raise to 340,000 and Eric Cloutier jammed for 1,000,000 in the big blind, having paid the big blind ante to drop to eight big blinds. Danias snap-called and Cloutier was in need of help.

Eric Cloutier: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}
Nicholas Danias: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop brought no glimpse of hope for Cloutier and he was drawing dead on the {3-Clubs} turn. The {4-Clubs} river was a formality.

Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

Austin Lewis raised it up from the cutoff and Jake Schindler called in the big blind. The flop fell {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Spades} and both players checked to the {4-Diamonds} on the turn.

Schindler checked again and Lewis fired out a bet of 300,000. Schindler called and the {2-Spades} on the river put four spades on the board. Schindler checked again and Lewis tossed in another bet of 500,000.

Schindler briefly thought about it but didn't take long to call. Lewis turned over {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} while Schindler held {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the only flush between the two players.

Jiwoon Kim bet 400,000 from under the gun on {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades} and was called by Michael Messick in the cutoff and big blind Hossein Ensan. On the {q-Diamonds} turn, Kim kept it up with 1.5 million, folding out Messick. Ensan stuck around for the {10-Hearts} river, and he led out for 2,995,000. Kim tanked until a clock was called, and he continued to hang onto his cards in silence until the supervisor announced them dead and instructed the dealer to collect them.
