Smith Doubles Through Roberts

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Over on the main feature table, Timothy Smith raised to 10,000 from early position and Brent Roberts three-bet to 45,000. Smith jammed for 132,000 and Roberts called.

Timothy Smith: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Brent Roberts: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Smith flopped a set on {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}, while Roberts turned an inferior set with the {j-Hearts}. The {5-Spades} river was a blank and Smith doubled.

Gus Hansen is still rocking a big stack on the secondary feature table and other big stacks on the main and secondary table can be found below.

Pineiro Bluffs Defending Champ Cynn Off Hand and Shows

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
John Cynn
John Cynn

It was blind versus blind action with Martin Pineiro limping in from the small blind and John Cynn raised to 20,000 from the big. Pineiro then three-bet to 51,000 and Cynn just called.

Pineiro check-called Cynn's bet of 34,000 after the flop fell {6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the {a-Clubs} turn was checked to the {6-Clubs} river.

Pineiro fired off 53,000 and the 2018 Main Event Champion looked back down at his cards and threw them into the muck, and Pineiro tabled {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the stone-cold bluff.

Veksler Wins Big Stack Clash

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Dario Sammartino opened for 12,000 in middle position and a player called in the cutoff before Pavlo Veksler three-bet to 60,000 in the small blind. Sammartino called, the third player folded, and {8-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flopped. Veksler bet 45,000 and Sammartino peeled, bringing a {6-Hearts}. They saw the {k-Clubs} river for free and Veksler came back to life with 153,000. Sammartino gave it up in short order.

Herzali Almost Triples

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Sarah Herzali
Sarah Herzali

Sarah Herzali held {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} against the {q-}{q-} of Murray Chick and the {j-}{j-} of another player.

Normally a player holding kings would tremble at the sight of an ace on a {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, but not this time as the {9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} run out saw Herzali chip up to around 600,000 in chips.

Su Gets All Kurganov's Chips in Set-over-Set Cooler

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Timothy Su
Timothy Su

In a single raised pot, Igor Kurganov checked from the big blind with the flop showing {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Timothy Su bet 9,000 in an early position and a player on the button escaped. Kurganov check-called.

The turn was the {a-Spades} and Kurganov let Su fire 41,000, then called again.

The {6-Clubs} hit the river and Kurganov checked one more time. Su announced he was all in, covering Kurganov's remaining 210,000 or so. Kurganov didn't waste a second and slammed calling chips on the felt.

Su, however, had him beat, having flopped a top set with the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. Kurganov had a set of his own, but the {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} cost him the tournament life with the Main Event getting closer to the bubble.

Politano and Koerper Benefit in Three-Way All In

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Zackary Koerper (from a previous event)
Zackary Koerper (from a previous event)

There are only around a dozen tables in Amazon Gold and in the space of just a few hands, it has come to the attention of PokerNews that aces have been cracked again. This time it was in a three-way all in that began with an 11,000 open from John Devisscher and a flat call from Zackary Koerper who was also in early position. It folded round to Bruno Politano who squeezed all in to 100,000 and Devisscher isolated for 270,000 over the top, which Zackary Koerper couldn't call quick enough.

Zackary Koerper: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Bruno Politano: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
John Devisscher: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {j-}{8-}{5-} and Politano and Devisscher was drawing extremely thin. The {q-} on the turn improved Politano to a set and gave Devisscher a gutshot for broadway though.

The {5-} river bricked for Devisscher and he was sent to the rail, whilst Politano was delighted to gain a triple. Koerper still made chips as Devisscher had significantly more than Politano and he is cruising towards a seven-figure stack now.

Levi Flops Set Against Opponents Big Slick

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

There was two-way action with a board showing {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} and 55,000 already in the middle when Vedat Levi jammed his remaining 188,000 in the middle and was called by his opponent from the small blind.

Vedat Levi: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Levi had flopped a set and turned the full house as his opponent flopped had top pair and top kicker with his big slick

Levi just needed to dodge a king and did as the river fell the {a-Clubs} and Levi doubled up .
