Frustrating Runout for Dzivielevski

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Vitor Dzivielevski, down to less than 100,000 chips, was looking for a spot to get it in and he found one versus Jim Bechtel. The two players were all in preflop and Dzivielevski had the best hand when the cards were turned over.

Vitor Dzivielevski: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Jim Bechtel: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop came {2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and all was looking good for the all-in player. The {10-Spades} turn counterfeited Dzivielevski's kicker with two pair on the board and the {a-Clubs} didn't change that. Dzivielevski had to make do with splitting the blinds.

Cheong Adds More

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Shortly after his big hand against Nick Schulman, Joseph Cheong was involved in a pot against Andy Tsai. Cheong check-called on a {7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop, with the turn falling {4-Hearts}, which saw Tsai bet 42,000. Cheong called and the river came the {9-Diamonds} with both players checking.

Cheong showed the {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} for the overpair, which was good as Tsai mucked his hand.

2018 Runner-Up Miles Eliminated

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Tony Miles
Tony Miles

Tony Miles moved all in for 68,500 from under the gun and was called by Shaun Zammit in the next position. All remaining players in the hand folded and the cards were turned over.

Tony Miles: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Shaun Zammit: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board was {9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds} with Miles failing to catch up and he was sent to the rail midway through Day 2.

With the ESPN cameras on hand to follow him to the exit, Daiva Byrne remarked to the table "Who was that guy?"

The table explained that he had finished second in the Main Event last year.

"Well," said Byrne. "He won't be finishing second this year!"

Lau Extracts Value

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} on the table and just over 60,000 in the pot, Alan Lau fired 48,000 out of the big blind. A player in the hijack called and Lau tabled {k-Spades}{10-Spades}. His opponent mucked and Lau eclipsed the 600,000-mark.

Cosby Binks the River

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Sam Cosby raised to 9,000 in the cutoff and Alex Fortin Demers three-bet to 26,000 on his left. Cosby called and they both checked the {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop as well as the {k-Hearts} turn.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Cosby opted to fire a big bet of 59,000. Demers thought for about a minute and then called.

Cosby showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for a rivered set and Demers' mucked his hand.

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Max Steinberg
Max Steinberg

Eric Baldwin raised to 9,000 and was called two ways. Max Steinberg in the small blind then moved all in for 103,500 and Baldwin gave it some thought before reraising and forcing out both cold-callers.

Max Steinberg: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Eric Baldwin: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The pocket pair held up on a board of {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{j-Spades} and Steinberg doubled.
