Erik Seidel opened the action with a raise to 450,000 and he was called two ways by Alex Epstein and Wasim Korkis in the blinds. The flop was checked through and the turn triggered a bet of 550,000 by Epstein. Korkis sent his cards into the muck and Seidel stuck around to see the river.
Epstein made it 1,250,000 to go and Seidel, who had 3,700,000 behind, called after some reflection and was shown the for the ten-high straight to scoop the first big pot of the final table. Epstein also came within two big blinds of Stephen Chidwick at the top of the counts.
