Ohel Falls, ODB Bubbles H.O.R.S.E. Championship

Level 16 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante
David "ODB" Baker
David "ODB" Baker

Stud

Justin Bonomo completed and Yueqi Zhu raised. David "ODB" Baker called all in for 20,000, and Bonomo called too.

Zhu bet fourth and Bonomo called as both players checked fifth. On sixth, Zhu made open kings and bet, and Bonomo folded.

Bonomo: {x-}{x-} / {j-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades} (folded on sixth)
Zhu: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} / {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Baker: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} / {10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Baker had started rolled up, but Zhu found the case king on sixth.

Zhu squeezed the {7-Clubs} on the end and Baker jokingly asked if he could have it.

Baker squeezed announced he had a three-side meaning a six, seven, or eight.

Baker exposed his final card to the table so that they could sweat it for him, and as one player nodded left to right, Baker looked at his {8-Clubs} and was eliminated.

On a hand that completed just a few moments earlier, Randy Ohel was eliminated in 28th place, and with Baker eliminated in 27th place, he would finish on the money bubble of the H.O.R.S.E. Championship.

The final 26 players are all guaranteed $15,176.

Alaei Left Short

Level 16 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Daniel Alaei defended his big blind against a button raise by Tim Marsters and check-called two streets on the {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board. On the river, Alaei check-folded to a third barrel.

Razz

Tim Marsters: {x-}{x-} / {2-}{6-}{3-}{10-} / {x-}
Nick Guagenti: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{2-}{8-}{3-} / {x-}
Daniel Alaei: {x-}{x-} / {k-}{2-}{6-}{8-} / {x-}

The game type switched and Marsters bet sixth, Nick Guagenti called and Alaei also called. Guagenti then took the lead on sixth and bet, both his opponents called. Guagenti also bet seventh and Alaei reluctantly folded with just over one big bet behind. Marsters reluctantly called and Guagenti rolled over {7-}{6-}{5-} for a six-five.

"You have a seven-card straight? That's impressive," Craig Chait chimed in.

Buchalter Bests Bonomo

Level 16 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Justin Bonomo: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} / {x-}
Yehuda Buchalter: {x-}{x-} / {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} / {x-}

In a three-way Stud Hi-Lo hand in which Greg Mueller folded on sixth, Yehuda Buchalter claimed a nice pot off Justin Bonomo, who bet sixth and seventh with a three-card low draw showing. Buchalter called and Bonomo showed {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for aces up, which Buchalter had beat with {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a straight.

Galfond vs. Johnson

Level 16 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Hold'em

Phil Galfond raised the cutoff to 24,000 and Marco Johnson three-bet to 36,000 from the button.

Galfond called, and both players checked the {6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop.

The turn landed the {9-Hearts} and Galfond checked. Johnson bet 24,000, and Galfond called as the {a-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Both players checked, and Johnson announced jacks. Galfond revealed his {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and he was pushed the pot once Johnson mucked.

Zhu: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Bonomo: {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}

Gonzales and Harman Chop

Level 16 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Matthew Gonzales raised the button and Jen Harman three-bet the small blind. Gonzales called, and on the {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, he called a bet of 12,000.

The turn fell the {7-Hearts} and Harman bet and Gonzales called. The river fell the {6-Diamonds} and Harman checked.

Gonzales bet, and Harman called tabling her {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} for the nut low to chop with Gonzales' {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for the third-nut straight.

Vitch Chops to Stay In

Level 16 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

On the river of a board {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Marco Johnson in the blinds reluctantly called a bet by Mike Ross, who turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a full house. Johnson sigh-folded.

The very next hand brought the raise of Chris Vitch and Jen Harman called. Ross made sure it was just a call and Johnson joked "she just called, tens are good." Ross indeed called and check-folded the {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop to a bet of Vitch and the raise of Harman. Vitch called all in for 18,000 total.

Chris Vitch: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Jen Harman: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The {3-Hearts} turn and {7-Hearts} river ensured a split pot.
