Top Pair for Lowery

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Mason Barrell opened to 70,000 in middle position and Randy Lowery called in the cutoff, as did Kwong Ip in the big blind.

The flop landed {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}, and action checked to Lowery who bet 150,000. Ip called, but Barrell folded.

The turn and river of the {9-Spades} and {3-Hearts} were checked through, and Lowery tabled his {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Ip mucked, and Lowery was pushed the pot.

Cikinas Takes One Down in the Big Blind

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Richard Lee raised from early position to 60,000 and he was called by Jeff Trudeau in the small blind and Matas Cikinas in the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} prompting checks from all three players to see the {3-Spades} hit the turn. There, Trudeau checked while Cikinas bet 140,000. Lee folded while Trudeau called.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Trudeau checked again. Cikinas put out a bet of 300,000 and Trudeau promptly folded, so Cikinas took down the pot.

Souza Doubles Through Julius

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Kyle Julius raised to 65,000 from late position and Ricardo Souza moved all in for 320,000 from the cutoff. It folded back to Julius who called and the hands were shown.

Ricardo Souza: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Kyle Julius: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The dealer fanned the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Spades} flop giving Souza top set and Julius picked up a gutshot straight draw. The turn {3-Hearts} and river {6-Hearts} were no help to Julius and Souza earned the double up.

Bell Eliminates Wong After Sick Turn

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Brian Altman checked from the big blind and Kerry Bell bet 225,000 from early position on {j-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Alexander Wong called on his left and Altman made it three to the {q-Diamonds} turn. Action checked to Wong, and he bet 440,000. Altman folded but Bell quickly announced all in. Wong had about 1.1 million back and he called after thinking very briefly.

Both had a queen but Wong's {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} was in rough shape against {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for queens full. The {a-Diamonds} river had Bell pumping his fist in celebration.

Palumbo Boats Up to Best Federspiel

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Rocco Palumbo
Rocco Palumbo

Steven Federspiel raised from under the gun to 65,000 and Rocco Palumbo defended his big blind.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and both players checked. Palumbo checked the {10-Spades} turn and Federspiel put out a delayed continuation bet of 55,000. Palumbo check-raised to 180,000 and Federspiel called.

Palumbo bet 355,000 on the {7-Hearts} river and was promptly called by his opponent.

"I have a boat," said Palumbo confidently, tabling {7-Spades}{4-Spades} and taking down the pot. He moves up over two million in chips, and is vying for the chip lead at his table alongside Ognjen Sekularac, with Mark Stockton not far behind him. Here are the counts for the rest of his table.
