Short Stack Tushnet Hits Quads to Survive

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Joel Tushnet was down to just 20,000 but was able to get his stack in the middle with pocket aces. His opponent called with {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and the flop the came down was brutal for Tushnet.

{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Hearts} was revealed and Tushnet's top set was behind to his opponent's straight.

But, as the turn fell the {a-Hearts} the tables erupted in shock and Tushnet took the lead once more with quads. There was a sweat on the river however as Tushnet's opponent had an out to the royal flush, but it did not come, and Tushnet survived.

Chambers Goes Bet, Bet, Shove on Gaspard

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Daniel Chambers
Daniel Chambers

Following a raise in middle position to 4,800, Daniel Chambers three-bet the button to 14,500. Jean Gaspard called from the big blind, and the initial raiser folded.

The flop landed {Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and after Gaspard checked, Chambers continued for 13,000. Gaspard instantly called as the {2-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn.

Gaspard checked, Chambers bet 34,000, and Gaspard called as the {6-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Gaspard checked for a third time, and after asking to see how chips Gaspard was playing, Chambers announced he was all in for roughly 180,000.

After about a minute of deliberation, Gaspard opted to muck, and Chambers collected the pot.

"That's The Best Fold I've Ever Seen!"

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Russell Watson & Nick Maimone
Russell Watson & Nick Maimone

There was already over 150,000 in the middle and a completed {8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{7-Spades} board out. Jochum Weenink recapped the earlier action: he had raised to 6,000, Watson had three-bet to 15,000, Nick Maimone had called and Weenink had folded preflop. On the flop, Watson bet, Maimone called, then Watson had check-raised the turn.

On the river, Watson bet 50,000 and Maimone shoved all in, putting Watson to the test for his remaining stack of 115,000. Watson went deep in the tank and minutes passed by as he tried to figure out the situation.

Eventually, he settled on a fold and flung {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} — nines full — open in the muck. Instantly, Maimone jumped back as soon as he saw the big hand that just got laid down.

"No way!" he yelled. "That's the best fold I've ever seen!". Maimone then showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for the rivered quads and shook Watson's hand in respect.

"That's incredible. In my whole life, that's the best fold I've ever seen," Maimone said in awe.

Bad River Cost Zamani but Saves Minkin Money

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Picking up the action on the turn, Ben Zamani was first to act and he made a bet of 10,000 on a board showing {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Minkin called bringing the pot to around 50,000.

The river was the {7-Clubs} and both players checked. Zamani showed down his {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a turned set while Minkin showed down her {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair that was no good.

"Bad river," Minkin said after the hand.

Dashineau and Metaal Clash Again

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The board read {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} with about 50,000 in the middle and Govert Metaal had checked in the big blind. Nicholas Dashineau bet 42,000 and Metaal called after thinking about it for a minute.

The {7-Spades} on the river completed the board. Metaal checked for the last time and Dashineau shoved for 129,400 in total. Metaal asked for a count and the dealer confirmed the amount. Metaal cut out calling chips and estimated the remainder of his stack. He looked at his cards once more, counted out the calling chips again and then called.

Nicholas Dashineau: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Govert Metaal: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Dashineau had flopped a set of sixes and improved to a full house which was better than Metaal's two pair.
