Chattaway Fires Hard

Level 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Billy Chattaway is here representing Team U.K. in the 888poker 8-Team competition and he's off to a nice start. Just now, he played a pot that was at least four-bet. Veron Lammers put in 3,000 on the button and Chattaway, who looked to have opened early and gotten plenty of action, reraised to 8,500. Lammers called and they saw an {8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop.

Chattaway fired 13,500 and Lammers folded after thinking briefly.

Pollak Takes Small from Reard

Level 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

The action folded to Alexandre Reard in the cutoff who opened for 800. Only Benjamin Pollak made the call from the button and the players went heads-up to see the {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop. Reard continued for 700 and Pollak called.

The turn brought a {6-Hearts} and Reard check-folded Pollak's bet for 2,100.

The board read {4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Javier Gomez checked from the small blind and an under the gun opponent bet 1,000 into a pot around 2,800. Gomez check-raised to 3,000 and his opponent made the call.

The {5-Diamonds} hit on the turn, Gomez now fired out a bet of 11,500 and his opponent took a moment but made the fold.

Adrian Mateos

With a pot already containing around 7,000, the board was showing {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} when the player in the cutoff bet 3,100. Adrian Mateos thought about his move for a minute and opted for the call.

The river fell a {2-Diamonds} and after some thinking, both players checked. Mateos turned over {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and it was enough to win the pot.

Hall's Kings Cracked on the River

Level 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

We only caught the final outcome of the hand as the board of {3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{A-Hearts} had been dealt and both hands were turned up face down, but it became apparent that Galen Hall (small blind) tangled with an opponent who was under the gun and managed to get all of his 15,175 chips in the middle.

Unfortunately for Hall, his {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} was outrivered by {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and he had to match the price after the dealer verified the aforementioned amount. Despite losing the big pot, Hall is still sitting on a healthy 67,200.

Michael Arage raised to 700 from the button and Samuel Tsehai re-raised to 2,600 from the small blind. With the action on Paul Zibits in the big blind he made it 7,400 and Arage folded.

Tsehai called and they went heads-up to the {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. Tsehai checked and Zibits tossed out a bet of 11,000. Tsehai called and the dealer burned and turned the {4-Clubs}.

Tsehai checked and Zibits moved all in covering Tsehai who had 38,600 behind. Tsehai thought it over for a bit and folded and Zibits took the pot.
