Moorman Flops the Nuts

Level 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

With action picked up on the river of the {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board, Chris Moorman led out 1,500 into 1,850 out of the small blind. His right-hand opponent called on the button and Moorman revealed that he flopped big, showing {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for a straight and a missed straight flush draw. Moorman raked in the small pot and continued with a little over the starting stack.

Moneymaker Has Seen Better Rivers

Level 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

We caught the action on the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} river where Chris Moneymaker, sitting on the button, faced a 3,500-bet from the middle of the table.

"Not the best river I've ever seen," Moneymaker said.

Then he took the calling chips and shuffled them a few times. However, Moneymaker eventually convinced himself to make the fold and no cards were shown despite Moneymaker trying to get a fold-and-show deal.
