Blind Versus Blind Battle for Peters

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

The action folded to David Peters who completed his small blind and his opponent checked.

The flop brought {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Peters bet 500. His opponent called and bet 1,000 after Peters checked on the {4-Diamonds} turn. Peters made the call.

The river was the {a-Clubs} and the same action happened for another 1,000. Peters mucked his cards when his opponent showed {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the flush.

Geilich Wins a Four-Bet Pot

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Ludovic Geilich opened on the button and the small blind three-bet to 3,500. Geilich made it 10,800 and got action but everything slowed from there as they checked down {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. On the river, Geilich finally dropped in a T5,000 chip and verbalized a bet but but no sooner had the chip hit the felt than a fold was announced.

Boeree Finds a Double Up

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Anthony Reategui opened to 2,500 and it was called by the hijack button. Liv Boeree thought about her move for a minute and raised it to 9,500. Reategui quickly folded and the hijack pushed all in, putting Boeree's tournament at risk for her last 27,875 chips. Boeree snap-called and it created the following showdown:

Liv Boeree: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Her opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

It was a typical flip situation but the board {10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} improved Boeree's hand into a full house and gave her the double up.

Mezheritsky Doubles Through Kitai; Aces Versus Kings

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Davidi Kitai raised to 1,125 from early position and was three-bet by Damian Le Goff to 3,500. The action folded around to Vladislav Mezheritsky who four-bet to 8,000. Kitai five-bet 27,525, enough to put Mezheritsky all in. Le Goff got out the way, and Mezheritsky called.

Vladislav Mezheritsky: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Davidi Kitai: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Board: {9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

Kitai received the bad news that he was behind and the board was no help to him. Mezheritsky moved up to 59,000 and Kitai dropped down to 85,000.

Iodice Flops the Goods

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Steffen Sontheimer was in the cutoff, three-betting to 4,200 over a 1,300-raise from middle position. A player in the small blind cold-called before Marco Iodice cold four-bet to 13,400 out of the big blind. Sontheimer matched the price and so did the small blind so they went three-way to the flop with over 40,000 in the middle of the table.

The dealer spread out the {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and the small blind instantly front-shoved his last 18,325. Iodice asked for a count and then reshoved, prompting a fast fold from Sontheimer.

The showdown was rather surprising with the small blind showing {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} while Iodice turned up {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a king-high flush. The {3-Hearts} turn sealed it for Iodice and the {2-Hearts} completed the board.

Sinclair Sinking

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Jack Sinclair opened in the cutoff and then called a three-bet to 3,500 from Benjamin Morgan on his left. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Sinclair checked and instantly folded to a bet from Morgan.

Sinclair is down to about a third of the starting stack and has some work to do if he wants to bag an average stack tonight.
