Hughes Gets Value

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

After chips already went in on the {2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} turn, the pot was up to 13,500. Action was on Ryan Hughes in the cutoff, who bet 8,000 on a {6-Spades} river. His opponent called but couldn't beat Hughes' {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for second pair.

The two-time bracelet winner neared the 100k mark with the hand.

Steinman Stacked

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

The {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop was out and Ian Steinman had already shoved for 6,400 into an existing pot of about 5,500 when we got to the table. A player in middle position called and the cutoff jammed over the top for 19,825. After a bit of time in the tank, the middle-position player folded, and Steinman and his opponent tabled their hands.

Ian Steinman: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Steinman found himself trailing the cutoff's flopped set and needed help from the deck to survive. The {Q-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river weren't the cards Steinman wanted to see and he made his exit.

Palma Wins Against Umdenstock

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Nicholas Palma raised from middle position to 900 and the only player who called was big blind, and table chip leader, Joseph Umdenstock.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Umdenstock check-called a 1,500 bet from Palma. The turn was the {K-Spades} and Umdenstock checked again. Palma bet 4,200 this time and Umdenstock called the bet again.

The {10-Spades} river completed the board and Umdenstock checked for a final time. Palma threw in an overbet of 18,700 and Umdenstock called again.

Palma tabled {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Umdenstock blamed the river and he showed the {10-Clubs}.

Kitai Takes Another

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Davidi Kitai raised to 950 on the button only to see Matt Bond three-bet to 3,800 from the small blind. Kitai four-bet to 9,500 and Bond called.

Both players checked on the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and again on the {k-Diamonds} turn. When the river came the {2-Spades}, Bond bet 6,500 which Kitai called.

Davidi Kitai: {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Matt Bond: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Reard Forces a Fold on the River

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

A first player opened to 1,050 and Alexandre Reard raised it to 2,700 from one seat over. The cutoff player made the call and the initial raiser let it go.

The flop came {4-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Reard continued for 2,000. It was called once more and both players checked on the turn {9-Spades}.

The river brought the {7-Spades} and Reard fired 7,600. After some thinking, his opponent reluctantly conceded the pot, showing a {k-Clubs}, and Reard took down the pot.
