Borne Busts Dombowski in Last Hand Before Dinner

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Two tables were still running, and on one of them, a pot of more than 700,000 had built by the river of a board {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Timothy Dombowski had checked with around 160,000 remaining and Brian Borne pushed all in with the far superior stack.

After spending several minutes in the think tank — the dinner break was already underway for seven minutes — Dombowski called and Borne quickly turned over the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. Dombowski wanted to muck, but as per all-in showdown rules, had to reveal the {J-Spades}{10-Spades} for a missed straight and flush draw, and inferior pair. He headed over to shake hands with Borne before collecting his payout, while Borne stacked the chips and added, "I am the rookie of the year."
