Newhouse Sends Woodward to the Rail

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Picking up the action on the turn, Mark Newhouse led out with a bet of 8,000 into a pot of around 20,000. The board read {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Matthew Woodward called from the button.

The river was the {4-Spades} and Newhouse put together a bet of 33,000 which was enough to cover Woodward's remaining stack of just over 30,000. Woodward thought for a couple of minutes before finally making the call. Newhouse turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a set of nines and Woodward headed for the rail.
