Coats Takes Over the Lead

Level 29 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Adam Coats raised on the button to claim the blinds and Paul Volpe did so one hand later.

Eli Elezra limped in from the small blind and Coats checked. On the {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, Elezra bet, Coats raised and Elezra called. Both then checked the {8-Clubs} turn and {4-Diamonds} river. Elezra showed {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the high pot and Coats took the low pot with {K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Kyle Masio raised first to act and Coats called in the small blind, as did Volpe in the big blind. The flop came {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and action checked to Masio, who bet. Only Volpe called to see the {Q-Diamonds} turn and check-called a bet. After the {7-Spades} river, Volpe checked once more and faced a bet by Masio. After plenty of consideration, Volpe called and Masio tabled the {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for the low pot, Volpe chopped it up with {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Coats raised on the button and picked up two callers in Volpe out of the small blind and Masio in the big blind. The {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop was checked through and the {J-Diamonds} turn paired the board for the second time. Volpe checked, Masio bet and Coats raised, Volpe let go and Masio called.

On the {3-Spades} river, Masio check-called a bet by Coats and mucked when he was shown the {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Spades} by Coats.
