Siegal Takes From Ivey

Level 7 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Joining the action on the heads-up flop of {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Matthew Siegal checked out of the big blind and Phil Ivey made it 90,000 to go from early position. Siegal called and check-called another bet of 250,000 on the {J-Diamonds} turn. The {K-Clubs} river paired the board and Siegal quickly bet 400,000. Ivey tossed his cards into the muck after a few seconds.

One hand later, Daniel Negreanu raised to 100,000 and Steffen Sontheimer called in the big blind. Both players checked down the board of {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Sontheimer was first to show, turning over an {A-}{8-}. Negreanu had that beat with the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} and that won the pot.
