Hands #1-5: Volpe Takes Down the First Big Pot

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Hand #1: Shaun Deeb raised to 140,000 from the cutoff and Bin Duan called from the small blind. Paul Volpe called as well from the big blind.

The flop came down {3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{2-Spades} and it checked to Deeb. The current number two on the Player of the Year Leaderboard bet 210,000 and Duan folded. Volpe called to see the turn.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Volpe checked to Deeb again. Deeb checked behind this time.

The river was the {J-Hearts} and Volpe led out this time with 460,000 and Deeb took another peek at his cards. Deeb counted out the bet and toyed a bit with the chips in his hand before making the call.

Volpe opened up {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for the absolute nuts and he took down the pot after Deeb mucked.

Hand #2: Volpe put John Andress all in from the small blind and Andress folded.

Hand #3: Duan called from the cutoff and big blind Scott Margerson checked. {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} was the flop and Margerson checked. Duan bet 125,000 and that won him the pot.

Hand #4: Romain Lewis raised to 135,000 from the under the gun position and Shaun Deeb defended his big blind as the rest folded.

The flop was {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Deeb checked to Lewis. Lewis fired a bet of 255,000 and that was enough to make Deeb fold as the Frenchman took down the pot.

Hand #5: It folded to Margerson on the button and he pushed all in. Both blinds folded and Margerson took down the pot.

Martin Zamani Eliminated in 7th Place ($74,162)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Martin Zamani
Martin Zamani

Martin Zamani moved all in for 600,000 from under the gun and saw Shaun Deeb on the button and Bin Duan in the small blind both call.

The flop came down {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, and both Deeb and Duan checked to play for any side pot. When the turn card came the {3-Diamonds}, Duan bet 290,000 and Deeb called before they checked to a showdown on the river.

Martin Zamani: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Shaun Deeb: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Bin Duan: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

All three had a pair of aces, but Duan took both the main and side pot with his king kicker, and Zamani was the official final table bubble as he took away $74,162 in seventh place.

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Martin Zamani was very short and Shaun Deeb raised from middle position to 140,000. Zamani pushed all in for 220,000 and all the other players folded. Deeb called for an extra 80,000 and they opened up.

Martin Zamani: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Shaun Deeb: {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

The board gave Zamani a little sweat with the {3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, but the {6-Diamonds} turn and {6-Clubs} river he still won the hand.

Deeb and Duan Chop it Up as Well

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bin Duan limped from the under-the-gun position and it folded around to small blind Shaun Deeb. Deeb limped as well and big blind Romain Lewis checked.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Deeb checked and so did Lewis. Duan bet 130,000 and both Deeb and Lewis called to see a turn.

The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and all three players decided to check this time.

The {2-Spades} river completed the board and Deeb led out with a bet of 255,000. Lewis folded but Duan ended up calling the bet.

Deeb showed {A-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Duan showed {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the exact same hand and they chopped up the chips Lewis put in the pot.

Margereson and Duan Chop All In

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bin Duan called for 60,000 as did Martin Zamani before John Andress called in the small blind and Scott Margereson checked his big blind option. All four players checked on the {2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop before the turn came the {9-Spades}. Andress checked, Margereson bet 180,000, Duan raised to 470,000, and only Margereson called.

Heads-up to the {2-Hearts} river, Margereson checked before Duan bet 400,000. Margereson moved all in, and Duan called.

Scott Margereson: {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Bin Duan: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Both players had the full house and chopped the pot.
