Hands #49-52: Margolin Extends Lead

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #49: Ismael Bojang raised to 225,000 from the small blind after having asked Chris Ferguson for his stack size, and Ferguson called out of the big blind. Both checked the {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop and Bojang checked the {Q-Spades} turn, Ferguson bet 275,000 and Bojang folded.

Hand #50: Timur Margolin raised 180,000 first to act and Ferguson called in the small blind, as did Michael Marder in the big blind. The flop of {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} was checked to Margolin, and his bet of 200,000 won the pot right there.

Hand #51: A walk for Margolin.

Hand #52: Marder raised to 175,000 on the button and Margolin three-bet to 550,000 in the small blind, Marder called. The flop came {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Spades} and Margolin's continuation bet of 420,000 was called by Marder. After the {A-Clubs} turn, Margolin fired a bet of 850,000 and Marder sent his cards into the muck.

Hands #44-48: A Lot of Checks

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #44: Michael Marder opened the button for 175,000 and big blind Ismael Bojang called. The flop of {9-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} was checked through and Bojang bet 240,000 on the {J-Hearts} turn. Marder called and the {Q-Hearts} river went check check again. Bojang showed {J-Clubs}{5-Spades} but was second best as Marder tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

Hand #45: Timur Margolin opened the button for 180,000 and Chris Ferguson called from the big blind. Ferguson check-folded to Margolin's 150,000 bet on {6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Hand #46: Margolin opened under the gun for 190,000 and picked up the blinds and antes.

Hand #47: Bojang raised to 180,000 from first position and Margolin called from the big blind. Margolin check-folded to Bojang's 145,000 bet on {9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Hand #48: Margolin limped in from the small blind but folded to Bojang's big blind 275,000 raise.

Dylan Linde Eliminated in 5th Place ($117,894)

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Dylan Linde
Dylan Linde

Hand #43: For the second hand in a row, Dylan Linde moved all in. This time, it was from the under-the-gun position for 1,180,000, and Ismael Bojang reshoved from one seat over in the cutoff to isolate successfully.

Dylan Linde: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Ismael Bojang: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

Linde was dominated but improved on the {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn didn't change anything, but the {Q-Clubs} on the river improved Bojang to a straight and Linde was eliminated in 5th place. It was his 6th cash at the 2018 WSOP and second final table appearance, he takes home $117,894 for his efforts.

Hands #37-39: Marder Doubles Through Ferguson

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #37: Ismael Bojang opened the button for 190,000 and big blind Michael Marder called. Marder check-folded to Bojang's 125,000 bet on {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Hand #38: Chris Ferguson opened the button for 190,000 and big blind Timur Margolin three-bet to 725,000. Ferguson called and the two checked down the entire board of {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} {3-Clubs} {7-Hearts}. Margolin tabled {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for bottom pair and Ferguson mucked.

Hand #39: With Dylan Linde short in the big blind, Chris Ferguson opened the cutoff for 160,000. Marder called from the button. Linde contemplated calling for a bit, but eventually folded.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} and Ferguson bet 200,000. Marder raised to 600,000 and Ferguson three-bet to 2.1 million. Marder shoved and Ferguson called, but after the hand it would show that Marder called all in as Ferguson's 2.1 million raise was enough to put him all in.

Michael Marder: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}
Chris Ferguson: {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {J-Hearts} on the turn was a blank and so was effectively the {9-Spades} on the river.

Marder doubled his 2,040,000 stack, Ferguson down to 2.5 million.

Hand #36: A Three-Bet Pot

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #36: Michael Marder opened under the gun for 125,000 and his neighbor Timur Margolin three-bet to 320,000. Action folded to Marder and he called. Both players then checked the flop of {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} turn and the {2-Diamonds} turn. The river came the {7-Hearts} and Marder bet 275,000. Margolin called instantly but mucked when Marder showed him {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Ryan Laplante Eliminated in 6th Place ($87,189)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

Hand #35: In the third hand of the extra day, Chris Ferguson made it 120,000 to go first to act and Timur Margolin just called in the cutoff. Ryan Laplante three-bet all in from the small blind for 760,000 and Ferguson gave it some thought before folding, Margolin snap-called.

Ryan Laplante: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Timur Margolin: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

"I need a jack," Laplante said to his rail. However, the board of {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} brought no sweat or help for Laplante, who was eliminated in 6th place for $87,189. Laplante will very likely late-register for Event #49: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, which gets back underway at 2 p.m. local time for Day 2.
