Martini Scoops Twice To Regain Commanding Lead

Level 32 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Julien Martini

Julien Martini raised and Kate Hoang called. On the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop and the {3-Clubs} turn both players checked. Hoang also checked the {7-Clubs} river and folded to a bet by Martini.

In the next hand, Hoang limped in and Martini raised, Hoang called. The {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop brought a bet by Martini and a raise by Hoang, Martini came along and checked the {3-Hearts} turn. Hoang bet and Martini called before check-calling once more on the {10-Diamonds} river.

Hoang showed the {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} for a busted straight and low draw, which Martini had beat with the {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Right after, Martini raised and Hoang called. After a flop of {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Hoang checked and called a bet before doing so again on both the {4-Hearts} turn and {10-Hearts} river. "I have a ten," Martini announced and flashed {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} to scoop the next bigger pot.
