Malis Finishes Off Vornicu

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Valentin Vornicu
Valentin Vornicu

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Picking up the action after the first draw, Valentin Vornicu had basically all of his chips already in the pot. For good measure, Kevin Malis bet 100 to put Vornicu in for the rest and Vornicu called.

Vornicu took two and Malis took one. Vornicu then fake put in a bet from the stack he already had in the pot.

"Wait, there's still betting?" Malis said laughing and reaching for chips before Vornicu let on that he was joking.

Vornicu then took two again and Malis took one.

"Can you show first so I know what I have to beat?" Vornicu asked.

Malis obliged and showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}.

"You drew an eight?" Vorincu said, astonished.

"You don't need to draw a two if you're drawing to an eight, they told me," Malis said.

Vornicu peeled up his first card and revealed paint, a {K-}.

"Oh great, I'm dead," Vornicu said peeling his other card which was a {6-} to go with his {7-}{5-}{2-}. "I wish I would've peeled that one first."

With that, Vornicu made his exit and headed to the payout desk.

Per Hildebrand

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

A moment before this hand, Per Hildebrand scooped a monster pot with a ninety-seven low where he raised a bet from Valentin Vornicu, then Vornicu broke an eighty-seven low.

Immediately after, Dylan Linde raised. Hildebrand made it three bets from the blinds. Linde then made it four bets and Hildebrand capped the action. Linde called.

Hildebrande took one and Linde took one.

"I'll check to give you some hope," Hildebrand said. Linde responded with a check back.

On the second draw, both players took one again.

"I broke my Badugi," Linde said. Then both players checked again.

"You have some money to bluff still," Hildebrand said. "Nice."

On the final draw, both players took one then checked again. Hildebrand then showed {K-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

"I paired every time," Linde said showing {A-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. Hildebrand took down the big pot and Linde was left with just a few thousand, he was eliminated shortly after.

Matusow Can't Fold the Turn

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

David Bach opened with a raise and he found resistance in the form of a raise from Mike Matusow on the button. Action folded back to Bach who called.

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Bach checked. Matusow bet, then Bach check-raised. Matusow just called.

The turn was the {K-Spades} and Bach bet again. Matusow called.

On the {J-Spades} river, Bach put in one more bet and Matusow called again.

"Fours full," Bach said, showing {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Matusow flashed his {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and muttered something about possibly folding his hand on the turn.

"I wasn't beating shit on the turn," Matusow said talking to no one in particular.
