Hands #43-46: Blair Doubles Through Peters

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Eric Blair
Eric Blair

Hand #43: Jeremy Wien raised all in for 800,000 effective from the small blind, putting Jake Schindler at risk in the big blind. Schindler folded and Wien collected the pot.

Hand #44: Jake Schindler limped from the small bind with David Peters checking his option in the big. The flop fell {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Schindler bet 425,000 and Peters folded rather quickly.

Hand #45: Everyone folded to Shawn Buchanan in the big blind who received a walk.

Hand #46: Eric Blair opened to 115,000 from early position. David Peters fired a three-bet of 290,000 on the button and Blair made the call. On a {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop Blair checked to Peters who checked behind.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and after Blair bet 300,000 Peters made the call. The {a-Clubs} river was dealt with Blair checking to Peters who thought for couple of minutes before assembling a bet of 725,000, enough to put Blair all in to call. Blair did call, showing {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for a pair of queens which bested Peters's {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Blair doubled up leaving Peters a stack of only 16 big blinds.

Hands #38-42: Wien Extends His Lead

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #38: Eric Blair made it 110,000 in the hijack and Shawn Buchanan came along from the big blind. Buchanan let Blair continue for 135,000 on the {6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades} flop and called. The {9-Hearts} turn was quickly checked by both players and the {J-Clubs} river saw Buchanan fire 225,000. Blair quickly called with the winning hand, although it wasn't clear which exact hole cards he opened.

Hand #39: David Peters raised to 115,000 on the button, but folded after David Laka moved all in for 1.15 million out of the big blind.

Hand #40: Peters repeated his previous raise, and this time it went through uncontested.

Hand #41: Buchanan raised to 125,000 in the cutoff and John Amato flatted in the small blind. A Broadway flop landed as the dealer rolled out {J-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Amato check-called 125,000 and then checked the {7-Clubs} turn. Buchanan checked back to see a blank {2-Spades} river. Amato fired 415,000 and Buchanan let it go.

Hand #42: Eric Blair completed in the small blind and called when Jeremy Wien made it 155,000. They both checked the {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, then Blair led out 255,000 on the {5-Spades} turn. Wien called and the {10-Spades} paired the board. Blair checked and folded to Wien's bet of 275,000.

David Peters
David Peters

Hand #35: John Amato opened to 110,000 from button and both blinds folded.

Hand #36: Shawn Buchanan opened to 125,000 from early position. He received no customers, however, with everyone folding and Buchanan taking it down.

Hand #37: Eric Blair opened to 110,000 from the cutoff and after pausing for a few seconds Jake Schindler called from small blind with David Peters also coming along from the big blind.

On a {j-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop the action checked to Blair who bet 180,000. Schindler folded with Peters tossing in the call. The {a-Spades} turn fell with the action going check-check.

On a {10-Clubs} river Peters fired a hefty bet of 470,000, sending Blair into the tank. Blair eventually tossed in the call and Peters tabled {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a flopped two pair. Blair mucked and Peters collected the over one million-chip pot.

Hands #31-34: Blair over Laka

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Hand #31: Jake Schindler limped from the button, David Peters completed out of the small blind, and Shawn Buchanan checked his option from the big blind to see the {8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop. Peters and Buchanan checked to Schindler who fired 80,000, earning a call from Peters and a fold from Buchanan.

The {3-Spades} turn was checked through and Peters checked the {2-Diamonds} river as well. Schindler reached to his stack and slid forward a 180,000 bet. Peters paused for over a minute and then finally decided to fold.

Hand #32: Second to act, Eric Blair made it 90,000 and only big blind David Laka called. Laka led out 85,000 when the {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop landed and Blair matched the price.

They continued to the {J-Clubs} turn where Laka slowed down, checking. Blair fired 260,000 and Laka quickly folded.

Hand #33: Blair raised to 90,000 again and earned three callers: Schindler (hijack), Peters (cutoff), and John Amato (big blind). The {7-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop was checked and they went four-way to the {6-Diamonds} turn. Amato led out 185,000 and all remaining players gave up.

Hand #34: Laka raised to 80,000 on the button and Blair defended his big. Blair check-called 70,000 on the {9-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop before both players tapped the {7-Diamonds} turn and {3-Hearts} river. Blair showed {10-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Laka mucked.

Hand #29: From under the gun Peters opened to 90,000 with Shawn Buchanan making the call. Jake Schindler put in a call from the big blind as well.
