Weinman Check-Shoves

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Daniel Weinman
Daniel Weinman

There were about 55,000 chips in the middle and the {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop was out when we got to the table. Daniel Weinman had checked from the big blind, a player in middle position bet 55,000, and Weinman check-raised all-in for a total of 157,000. His opponent went into the tank, eventually folded {A-}{A-} face-up, and the dealer pushed the pot Weinman's way.

Boyd Bubbles; No Hand-for-Hand Play

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

Dealers had been instructed to stand up after the conclusion of the hand in progress to prepare for hand-for-hand play on the money bubble, but it proved unnecessary.

Dutch Boyd raised the button, the small blind three-bet to what looked like 70,000, and Boyd called, leaving himself about 28,000 chips behind.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and the small blind bet enough to put Boyd to a decision for his remaining chips. He called and the two players tabled their hands.

Dutch Boyd: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Small blind: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Boyd found himself behind with the worse of the two overpairs and needed help from the deck to survive. The {8-Spades} turn and {4-Spades} river were no help to Boyd and his opponent took the pot to eliminate him.

Daniel Takes From Nguyen

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Adam Daniel raised to 21,000 from the hijack and Men Nguyen called from the big blind.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Nguyen checked. Daniel bet 26,000 and Nguyen called.

The turn brought the {9-Spades} and both players checked.

The {J-Clubs} fell on the river and Nguyen bet 45,000, sending Daniel into the tank. He ultimately called and tabled {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and his hand was good enough to win the pot.

Tom West Felted

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Tom West moved all in from the cutoff for 21,000 and the player in the big blind called with a covering stack.

Tom West: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Big blind: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

West's opponent had the preflop advantage and West needed help from the deck to survive. The board ran out {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} to give the big blind the nut flush, who took the pot to eliminate West.
