Some More Action

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Hand #54

Olivier Doremus raised to 40,000 on the button and Roland Reparejo made the call in the big blind. The flop was {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Reparejo checked and Doremus bet 61,000, which was met with a raise from Reparejo to 161,000. Doremus eventually three-bet all in and Reparejo quickly called.

They both had king-queen however and the pot was chopped.

Hand #59

Nguyen bet 35,000 and Roland Reparejo called. The flop was {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Nguyen bet 50,000 which was called by Reparejo. The {7-Spades} came on the turn and they both checked. The river saw the {j-Spades} fall and Reparejo bet 70,000. Nguyen made the fold.

Hand #60

John Taylor opened for 38,000 and took it down.

Hand #61

Taylor made a raise from the big blind and took it down.

Hand #62

Nguyen opened for 35,000 and Reparejo made the call. The flop was {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Both players checked and saw a turn {4-Hearts}. Nguyen bet 55,000 and took it down.

Nguyen and Reparejo sat next to each other seem to be tangling, taking a few small pots off of each other.

A Few More Hands as We Remain Five-Handed

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Hand #63

Roland Reparejo raised to 40,000 and Charles Nguyen made the call from the big blind. The flop was {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Nguyen checked, Reparejo threw out a bet of 45,000 and Nguyen folded.

Hand #64

Olivier Doremus opened to 51,000 on the button and Charles Nguyen three-bet to 151,000 from the small blind. Reparejo folded from the big blind and Doremus folded as well.

Hand #65

The action folded around to Roland Reparejo in the small blind who raised to 40,000. Corey Emery called from the big blind and the flop was {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Reparejo checked, Emery bet 40,000 and Reparejo made the call. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and both players checked.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Reparejo again checked. Emery bet 80,000 and Reparejo quickly called, turning over {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and his second pair was better than the queen-high of Emery.

A Little Bit More Action

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Hand #66

Hand #67

An open from Taylor was good enough and he was awarded the pot.

Vive La France, Doremus Doubles

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Hand #69

With more chips to play in front, Charles Nguyen gets more and more active and took down the blinds and antes with a button raise.

On the {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, Doremus check-called 30,000 and then checked again on the {A-Diamonds} turn. Emery bet 58,000 and Doremus moved all in for another 185,000 on top of that. After getting the count, Emery said "okay, I call," before turning over the {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

Doremus turned over a dominating {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and despite the requests from the rail for a six, the dealer completed the board with the {2-Spades} river.

John Taylor Eliminated in Fifth Place ($17,975)

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
John Taylor
John Taylor

Hand #77

From the button, John Taylor moved all in for what looked like 110,000. The small blind folded but Charles Nguyen called in the big blind. Please turn over your cards:

Taylor: {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Nguyen: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Four-high doesn't sound intriguing but Taylor did find a little help on the {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} flop. After the {K-Spades} turn, Taylor was only one card away from elimination and the {9-Spades} river sent him to the rail in fifth place. The Nguyen rail filled the whole Amazon room with their chants and some of them are surely going to miss their voices tomorrow.
