Maag Mauls Merrifield

"This table is sick. So many all ins."

So one player at the table lamented, as Table #399 has become the action table, with several players moving all in during consecutive hands immediately after the dinner break.

This time we caught up to see Steve Merrifield all in with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Unfortunately for Merrifield, he was up against Nico Maag's {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Merrifield's head fell into his hands. Merrifield's Main Event came to an end while Magg was able to boost his stack even more. He's currently sitting on 3,680,000.

Adams Cracks Aces to Eliminate Duley

John Duley got his last 240,000 al in preflop and was in great shape to double against Timothy Adams.

Showdown

Duley{A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}
Adams{K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

It was a brutal kings-versus-aces situation, but at least the at-risk Duley was ahead. Surprisingly, neither player nor anyone at the table reacted when the flop came down {6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, giving Adams a set. Things remained eerily quiet as the {9-Spades} was put out on the turn followed by the {8-Clubs} on the river. With that, Adams was pushed the pot and Duley made his way to the payout desk.

Zhao's Pressure Earns The Pot

Action folded to Susie Zhao in middle position, and she made it 51,000 to go. Gwennael Grandmougin was next to act, and he would be the only caller. The flop ran down {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Zhao continuation bet to 75,000. Grandmougin made the call, and the turn was the{7-Clubs}. Zhao kept the pressure on, as she fired out 130,000, and this time, Grandmougin gave it up.

That hand propels Zhao over a million, while Grandmougin drops just below that mark.

Chalk One Up For Baumann

Eric Legoff min-raised to 48,000 from middle position and action folded around to Gaelle Baumann, who flatted from the button. The blinds folded and it was heads-up going to the flop.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Legoff checked - prompting a 55,000 bet from Baumann. Legoff quickly mucked and Baumann scooped the pot hassle free.

Baumann is up to 4,080,000.

Jejelowo Doubles; Smith Crippled

AJ Jejelowo
AJ Jejelowo

We got to the table to see A.J. Jejelowo all in and at risk before the flop. Gavin Smith had Jejelowo covered and was ahead with {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. Jejelowo would need help with his {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

The flop brought Jejelowo the help he needed, as it fell {6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river the {5-Hearts}, bringing no pair for Smith and forcing him to ship his chips to the next seat over. Jejelowo now has 910,000 while Smith has been crippled down to 290,000.

Baron Backs Down After Schoder Shove

In the first hand back from the break, Jonathan Schoder opened for 55,000 from the hijack seat, then Isaac Baron reraised to 115,000 from the button. It folded back to Schoder who four-bet to 225,000, and after pausing about a half-minute Baron made it 390,000 to go.

Schoder tanked for about a minute, then declared he was all in and Baron instantly flicked his cards dealerward.

Ausmus Shoves On Pollak

On the first hand back from dinner, Jeremy Ausmus raised to 50,000 in early position, and it folded around to Kevin Pollak. He three bet it to 150,000, and it folded back around to Ausmus. He four bet all in, putting Pollak to a decision for the rest of his stack. Pollack tanked for a couple of minutes before flicking his cards into the middle.

Ausmus quickly jumps up to 897,000, while Pollak drops down to under 400,000.
