"The Chips Are Coming to Me"

Frederic Banjout tossed out eight yellow T1,000 chips, limping in from the cutoff, and when he did, two of the chips rolled in front of Andrew Robl, who was on the button. He tanked for a bit, then raised to 30,000.

"It seems like the chips want to come to me," he told Banjout.

The blinds released, and the dealer fanned {5-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Banjout led out for 125,000, and Robl tank-called.

The turn was a third spade - the {2-Spades} - and Banjout led out again - this time for 200,000. Robl tank-called, and the {q-Clubs} completed the board. Banjout checked for the first time, and Robl fired 425,000. Banjout quickly folded, and Robl raked in the pot.

Negreanu Rising; Mizrachi Slipping

Daniel Negreanu has rushed his stack up to over 3.5 million in chips after taking two pots back to back. Here they are.

On the first hand, action folded to Negreanu in the cutoff seat and he raised to 18,000. Chamath Palihapitiya three-bet to 60,000 from the small blind and Negreanu made the call to see the flop.

The flop came down {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Palihapitiya bet 55,000. Negreanu raised to 135,000 and Palihapitiya made the call to see the {K-Diamonds} land on the turn. Palihapitiya checked and Negreanu bet 210,000. Palihapitiya called.

On the {Q-Diamonds} river, Palihapitiya checked and Negreanu decided on a bet of 440,000. Palihapitiya quickly gave it up and Negreanu won the pot.

On the next hand, Robert Bright raised from early position to 18,000 and Negreanu reraised in the hijack seat to 60,000. Action folded to Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi in the big blind and he called. Bright folded.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Mizrachi checked. Negreanu checked behind and the turn was the {Q-Clubs}. Mizrachi bet 125,000 and Negreanu made the call.

The river was the {3-Hearts} and Mizrachi fired 150,000. After some thinking out loud while in the tank, Negreanu made the call. Mizrachi simply tapped the table to signify Negreanu made a good call. Negreanu responded by showing the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Mizrachi mucked his hand and the table congratulated Negreanu on making an excellent call.

Katchalov Pays Off Smirnov

We didn't catch the action until the river with about 200,000 in the pot and a board reading {2-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Eugene Katchalov had bet 175,000, but was contemplating a raise from Mikhail Smirnov, who made it 400,000 to go.

Katchalov thought for about 90 seconds before tossing a call, but smiled and laughed when Smirnov rolled over {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a rivered two pair.

Phua Takes One Million-Chip Pot off of Negreanu

In one of the last hands of the previous level, Paul Phua opened to 15,000 from early position, and was called by Michael Mizrachi, Mike Sexton, Daniel Negreanu (button), Rick Salomon, and Chamath Palihapitiya. The dealer fanned {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}, and the action checked to Phua, who fired 65,000. Mizrachi and Sexton both folded, and Negreanu raised to 200,000. Both blinds released, and Phua tank-called.

Both players checked after the {q-Spades} turned, and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board. Phua led for 300,000, and Negreanu thought for a bit, then called.

"Flush," Phua announced, tabling {k-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Negreanu mucked, and Phua raked in the pot.

Dwan's Queens Go Down

During the last level, Mikhail Smirnov opened to 15,000 from under the gun and John Morgan three-bet to 40,000 from the next seat. Action then folded all the way around to Tom Dwan in the small blind and he came in with an aggressive four-bet to 145,000. Smirnov folded before Morgan quickly called.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Dwan checked. Morgan bet 150,000 and Dwan made the call.

On the {K-Clubs} turn, both players checked. They also checked the {8-Spades} on the river to get to a showdown.

Dwan showed the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, but his ladies were no good against the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for Morgan.
