David 'Doc' Sands was hovering around 6,000 chips when we last saw him, and his Tweet about 60,000 chips really had us wondering what happened to him. We ran into Sands on the break and he told us the following. After chipping up to 28,000 he got it in with against a player with 22,000 chips who was holding . Sands managed to win this massive flip and is now one of the biggest stacks in the room.
Kenny Hallaert just updated us on his tournament and he's doing really good. It could have gone the other way but Carlos Mortensen decided against pulling the trigger. Hallaert raised to 1,000 and Mortensen called, as did the player on the button.
The flop brought and Hallaert threw out 1,650. Mortensen called after which the button shoved for 5,100. Hallaert moved all-in over the top and the former WSOP Main Event champion folded.

The turn was the and the river the giving Hallaert the pot. Hallaert told us Mortensen told him he folded and considered moving all-in pre flop. Mortensen made the right move, but could have had a much bigger stack if he went in for the double up. Hallaert is cruising right now with almost twice the average stack.
We didn't see the hand but Vanessa Rousso kindly informed us that Eugene Katchalov busted when his ran into . Eugene bricked the flop, turn, and river, and now he's out the door.
Rousso is still looking pretty with a stack of around 37,000.
The action folded around to a player in early position and he moved all-in for 4,575. It seemed nobody wanted a piece of the action until the buck stopped with Andrew Badecker in the small blind who made the call.

We caught the action on the flop in a heads up pot between Vanessa Rousso, in the BB, and Eugene Katchalov from the HJ. Rousso leads from the BB for 2,000 on a board. Katchalov quickly called. The turn was the Russo then leads with a serious bet of 10,000! Katchalov, with a puzzled look, goes into the tank for over two minutes. He folds his hand and Russo shows a
Layne Flack raised to 1,125 in first position and the big blind called. The flop was and the big blind check-called a 1,625 Flack bet. The turn card was the and once again the big blind checked.
