A John Eames Four Bet

John Eames raised to 1,700 in the cutoff and the player on the button three-bet to 4,000. Back to Eames and he dumped 17,000 over the line leaving himself with just 4,800 chips. The player on the button folded and Eames stacked up his replenished 30,000 stack.

Sands Takes a Big Hit

We just heard Doc Sands lost a massive pot without showdown. Supposedly the action got six-bet pre flop and Sands was in position on the button when the flop brought out {6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}. His opponent in the cut-off checked to Sands who bet 11.700 but instantly folded after his opponent moved all-in. Sands is down to 42.700 but still has a very nice stack.

Hellmuth Hits a Four.

An under the gun player raised to 1,600. Phil Hellmuth, who started the hand with about 14,000, called from under the gun + 2, and a player in middle position reraised all-in over the top for 6,000. Action folded back to the under the gun raiser, who folded. Hellmuth quickly called the extra 4,400.

Hellmuth was holding {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and his opponent had {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. It wasn't looking good for Hellmuth until the flop fell {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

"Diamond me," Hellmuth asked the dealer. And the dealer obliged with the {7-Diamonds} on the turn.

The river was a brick though, {Q-Hearts}, and Hellmuth scooped the pot.

Elezra Crushing, Hastings Done

Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra

Eli Elezra is all smiles after he just busted Brian Hastings. Elezra raised to 1,800 and two seats to his left Hastings moved all-in for around 13,000 chips. The player to his left tanked for a bit before folding and Elezra said, "I don't like it, and my hand is not that strong", as he made the call. Hastings smiled and said he wasn't that strong either as we witnessed the following showdown.

Eli Elezra{A-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Brian Hastings{J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} giving Elezra another knock out. "I came to this table with 1,800", he smiled while stacking his chips. After chipping up Elezra called with {K-}{5-} after someone had decided to limp. "You know how I like to see flops", he added with a smile. The flop brought {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} and Elezra got all his chips into the pot against {A-Spades}{A-} for a 45,000 chip pot. His hand held up and after that he kept chipping up by busting some short stacks. The only player he hasn't been winning against was the player on his left, Adam Wessley.

"This fucking guy on my left has 80 dimes and all I wanted was to cover him!", Elezra laughed. Adam Wessley and Elezra had been battling, because the high stakes professional pointed out he got bluffed by ten high earlier. After counting his stack Elezra shouted, "Booom! Now I wanna see him messing with me!", as both players started laughing again. Elezra is up to 87,000 chips and one of the chip leaders of the tournament.
