Don't Dream, It's Ho-ver

Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Maria Ho just four-bet all in with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} against her opponent, who was in pretty rough shape with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} but the board came {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs} to make big slick a very important Broadway. Ho was eliminated, probably in the most painful manner she'll see this series.

Aguiar Ascending

Jonathan Aguiar
Jonathan Aguiar

The action opened when a player in middle position raised to 5,600. The player to his immediate left made the call, as did Jonathan Aguiar. The blinds both folded and the three players saw {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} come on the flop. The original raiser fired out a bet of 15,000 and the player to his left folded. Aguiar made the call.

The turn came {9-Diamonds} and the original raiser continued again, this time with a bet of 25,000. After a bit, Aguiar announced that he was all in. Aguiar's opponent went into the tank.

"Sorry guys, I'm gonna need a minute," he said. And after a couple of minutes, he tossed his cards into the muck, awarding Aguiar with a nice sized pot.

The board fell {5-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Baumstein's kings were enough to allow him to scoop the pot. He's now sitting with around 113,000 in chips.

Chouity Continues to Bully

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Nicolas Chouity, the former EPT Monte Carlo winner, is one of the big stacks still remaining in this event. The Lebanese player raised to 7,500 from early position before the small blind made it 20,000 to play. Chouity, unfazed, then reraised to 66,500 committing his opponent, the latter deciding not to call and instead meekly surrendered his hand.
