Herring Forced to Fold

On a board of {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the pot at around 2,000, Heath Herring was faced with a 1,650-chip bet from the cutoff.

Herring quickly splashed out six 500-denomination chips for a bet amounting to 3,000. The dealer, and a few of the players, quickly stated that the raise from Herring wasn't enough, and consequently he was bound to a 3,300-chip raise.

His opponent paused for a few moments before pushing in a stack of chips to put Herring all in. Herring cocked his head to the side in what could only be described as annoyance, before he eventually folded his hand while slipping to just 2,500 in chips.

Eslami Triples Up

We didn't catch the hand, but we heard a brief recap of what happened after. Ali Eslami and Fatima Moreira De Melo both were all in preflop, as well as another player, who's stack was between Eslami's and De Melo's.

De Melo: {j-}{j-}
Eslami: {a-}{j-}
Opponent: {k-}{k-}

The flop came ace high, and Eslami took the main pot to triple up. The other player's kings held up, and De Melo lost out on everything, dropping her down to 3,125.

Tryba Holds For A Double Up

Over at Chris Tryba's table, he has just doubled up after getting his money in in a dominating position preflop. A middle position player made it 400, and the player in the hijack called. Tryba squeezed by going all in from the cutoff for 3,250, and the button went all in from the button for 4,450. The other two players folded, and the players tabled their cards.

Tryba: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Button:{a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and Tryba scored the double up.

Karr Chips Up

With all the money going in on the turn with the board reading {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{A-Hearts}, Mclean Karr was in unbeatable shape with his {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} up against his opponent's {A-}{K-}.

The river landed the meaningless {Q-Diamonds} to see Karr climb to 22,400 in chips.

Aguiar's Agression Pays Off

Jonathan Aguiar raised preflop in middle position to 525, and an opponent on the button called. The players went heads up to a flop of {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. Aguiar bet out 600, and his opponent called again. On the turn, the {5-Hearts}, both players checked, and the river came the {q-Spades}. Aguiar bet out 1,600, and his opponent gave his hand up. Aguiar has built up quite the stack, and is amongst our chip leaders as we approach the dinner break.
