Koon Canned

A player in middle position raised, and the cutoff called. The small blind then shoved his small stack in, and it was on Jason Koon, who had 2,125 left. He put the rest of it in, and the original raiser then went all in over the top. The cutoff got out of the way, and the three players flipped their cards up.

Opponent 1: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Small Blind:{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Koon: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}

Koon seemed optimistic before the flop came out, quoting "The Mighty Ducks," saying ducks fly together. However, the flop didn't provide much help, coming {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Koon's slim chances turned to no chance when the {q-Clubs} hit the turn. The river brought the {4-Spades}, and Koon was eliminated.

Nguyen Chops

After a raise by Soi Nguyen, an opponent three-bet and the two managed to get it all in with Nguyen's opponent's tournament life on the line.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and both players turned over their hands. Nguyen held {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and his opponent held {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}. They both shared a chuckle as the turn and river came {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and they chopped the pot.

Sands Snags Double

Facing a button raise to 900, David Sands pushed from the small blind to 3,250. Once the big blind folded, the button moved all in and Sands snap-called for his last 15,625.

Sands: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The board was spread {A-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts} to see Sands double through to roughly 33,000 in chips.

Chainsaw Cut Out On The River

A player in middle position raised to 900, and Allen Kessler went all in 6,000 in the hijack. It folded to the small blind, who isolated by going all in himself. The original raiser folded, and the two players flipped their cards up.

Kessler: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Kessler survived the flop, though just barely, as it came {6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Kessler would need to dodge an ace, queen, or heart, and did that on the turn, as it came the {k-Diamonds}. However, the {a-Clubs} spiked on the river, and Kessler was eliminated.

Bustlin' Bellande Busts Big Blind

Joe Cada opened his button to 900 only to have Jean-Robert Bellande and the big blind make the call to see a {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop.

Bellande led out for 1,500 and the big blind made the call as Cada folded and the {J-Hearts} landed on the turn. Bellande fired out 4,000 and the big blind pushed all in with Bellande instantly calling.

Bellande: {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The river landed the {A-Hearts} to see Bellande eliminate his opponent while moving to 38,000 in chips.

Mayrinck Goes Busto

Maria Mayrinck moved all in from the cutoff for her last 5,200. The player on the button moved all in over the top and both blinds folded. Their hands were tabled to see Mayrinck was dominated by the player on the button.

Mayrinck: {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Mayrinck was sent packing.
