Nguyen Finds a Pair

Level 23 : 8,000/15,000, 0 ante

Kim Nguyen raised from the cutoff and Samuel Golbuff looked her up from the big blind. Golbuff then led out on the {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, Nguyen raised, Golbuff called, and the {K-Diamonds} hit the turn. We didn't catch the turn action as the announcer was preoccupied with the clock, but we do know the {Q-Spades} was put out on the river and Nguyen called a Golbuff bet.

Golbuff showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, but it was no match against Nguyen's {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

Woods' Pair is Good

Level 23 : 8,000/15,000, 0 ante

Darren Woods and Samuel Golbuff saw a flop of {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Woods check-called a bet, and the turn was the {4-Hearts}. Woods check-called another bet, and the river was the {7-Spades}. Wood check-called one last bet, and opened {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for a pair of aces. We did not catch Golbuff's hand before it hit the muck, but it couldn't beat a pair of aces, and Woods shipped the pot.

Zaichenko Down but Not Out

Andrey Zaichenko has grown quite short as of late, but he recently received a reprieve. On a flop of {4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, a series of raises resulted in Zaichenko being all in with {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} against the {A-Spades}{10-Spades} of Alexander Kuzmin. Both the {Q-Hearts} turn and {7-Spades} river blanked and Zaichenko doubled through Kuzmin.

Woods Calls Down Zaichenko

Level 23 : 8,000/15,000, 0 ante

Darren Woods and Andrey Zaichenko were heads up with the board reading {7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Woods check-called a bet, and the turn was the {6-Clubs}. Woods checked, Zaichenko fired a second bullet, and Woods called.

The {9-Spades} on the river paired the board, and Woods check-called one last bet. Zaichenko opened {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and mucked when Woods showed {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for two pair; sevens and nines.

Russian Battle

Level 23 : 8,000/15,000, 0 ante

Alexander Kuzmin raised under the gun and received a call from Andrey Zaichenko in the small blind. Kuzmin then check-called a bet on the {K-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} flop, bringing about the {J-Diamonds} on the turn.

Both players checked as the dealer put out the {5-Hearts}. Kuzmin bet, Zaichenko called, and Kuzmin showed {A-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, which was better than Zaichenko's {A-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Nguyen Fills Up

Level 23 : 8,000/15,000, 0 ante

Kim Nguyen raised from the small blind, Darren Woods defended his big blind, and the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Spades}. Nguyen led, and Woods called. The turn was the {k-Clubs}, and Woods called another bet from Nguyen.

The river was the {8-Hearts}, and (yes, you guess it) Woods called a bet from Nguyen.

Nguyen opened {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a full house, and shipped a sizable pot.

Woods Takes Another Off Nguyen

Level 23 : 8,000/15,000, 0 ante

Action folded to Kim Nguyen in the small blind. She has been ultra-aggressive throughout the day and this spot was no different as she quickly raised. Darren Woods defended from the big blind and it was heads up to the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop.

Nguyen continued to bet, as she did on the {K-Spades} turn and {6-Clubs} river, and Woods called her down every step of the way. Nguyen showed {Q-}{4-} for a pair of queens, but it was no good against the {Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs} of Woods.

Woods Has Bigger Two Pair

Level 23 : 8,000/15,000, 0 ante

Kim Nguyen raised on the button, Darren Woods made it three bets from the small blind, and Nguyen called. The dealer fanned {4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Spades}, and Woods led out. Nguyen called. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, and Woods led again. Nguyen turned up the heat, raising to two bets, and Woods called.

The river was the {j-Diamonds}, and Nguyen called one more bet. She opened {j-Spades}{7-Spades} for jacks and sevens, but they were no good against Woods' {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for aces and sevens.
