Harder Knocked Out

Christian Harder
Christian Harder

Shortly after that hand versus Jared Ingles, Matt Affleck was tangling with another short-stacked player at his table, Christian Harder. Harder was all in before the flop with {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, but in tough shape versus Affleck's {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{q-Spades}, which made surviving with a chop a possibility for Harder. But the turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river the {6-Clubs}, and Harder is out in 100th place.

Affleck pushes up further to 5 million on that one.

Basebaldy Beaned by Baker

Eric Baldwin opened for 76,000 pre-flop with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Action folded all the way to David Baker in the small blind, who responded by moving all in for 581,000 with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Baldwin called and the race was on. Baker hit the finish line in first place, {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. He's up to 1.2 million and Baldwin is down to 340,000.

Mizrachi Clips Kostritsyn

Christopher Bolt opened to 80,000 from under the gun with both Michael Mizrachi and Alexander Kostritsyn making the call.

Bolt checked and Mizrachi fired out 100,000 on the {6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop with only Kostritsyn making the call as Bolt passed.

The turn landed the {A-Hearts} and Mizrachi continued his aggression; this time for 200,000 as Kostritsyn again called.

The river landed the {Q-Diamonds} and Mizrachi deliberated for a few moments before sliding out a bet of 825,000 to prompt a fold from Kostritsyn as "The Grinder" chips up to 5,850,000 in chips.

Bardah Chips Up with a Shove

Ronnie Bardah
Ronnie Bardah

Ronnie "Ronasty" Bardah raised to 80,000 from middle position. Gabriel Alarie was in the small blind and reraised to 280,000. After the big blind folded, action fell back on Bardah and he moved all in for 1.119 million. Alarie tanked, but eventually mucked his hand, allowing Bardah to chip up to nearly 1.5 million.

Short-Stack Ninja

Corey Emery moved all in for his last 337,000 from early position before Eduardo Parras re-raised to isolate the short stack. The table folded around and the cards were on their backs.

Emery: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Parras: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Emery spikes a pair on turn which is enough for the double up.

"Short-stack ninja, baby!" exclaimed Emery as he'd been battling with the short stack for several hours. He has some breathing room now, as he's up to 845,000 with Parras back down to 1.98 million.

Another Half Million for Jorgensen

Up towards the back of the Amazon Room, Theo Jorgensen found himself involved in what developed as a very large pot. He bet 100,000 on the turn of a {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and was called. When the river fell {7-Diamonds}, Jorgensen made a large bet of 300,000. Upon being called Jorgensen tabled {a-Spades}{5-Spades}, the nut flush, to collect a sizable pot. He's now up to about 4.8 million.
