Andrew Ferguson Eliminated in 14th Place ($32,653)

Andrew Ferguson - 15th Place
Andrew Ferguson - 15th Place

Action folded to Andrew Ferguson who raised to 70,000 in the small blind. Brazilian Thiago Nishijima went deep into the tank in the big blind before raising all in for effectively 520,000. Ferguson snapped it off and the hands were tabled.

Showdown
Ferguson: {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Nishijima: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Ferguson did not improve with the {4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} board and reported to the rail. Meanwhile, Nishijima is among our chip leaders with 2,385,000 in front of him.

Odell Extends His Lead

Thomas Bichon raised to 60,000 from the button, only for Kevin Odell to make it 162,000 from the small blind. After a long dwell, Johan Jakobsson called in the big blind. Bichon folded.

On the {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds} flop, Odell made a small bet of 100,000. Jakobsson raised to 315,000, but quickly folded as Odell slid in a stack of green 25,000 chips for a total raise to 815,000.

Odell has extended his lead to 2,625,000 whilst Jakobsson has dropped to 1,045,000.

Adam & Leave

Edward Croffut
Edward Croffut

Quicker than a machine gun, Adam Croffut moved all in from the button, Thomas Bichon called in the small blind and we had a showdown: Bichon requiring assistance with {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} versus {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop made little difference, but the {9-Spades} turn did, and by the {10-Spades} river it was all over.

"Yes!" exclaimed Croffut as he leapt into the air.

"He's got a spade," informed the players at the table in unison.

Croffut went to fist-pound Jimmy Fricke on the rail who, although obliged, tried to inform him that the other guy had a spade, but the information didn't seem to register.

Finally, and after being told one more time, Croffut realized and his face went sour. From thinking he'd doubled through and was still in with a shot at a bracelet, he was now heading to the rail in 16th place.

Last Woman Standing

Tanya Gawarecki - 18th Place
Tanya Gawarecki - 18th Place

Although she was short throughout the day, Tanya Gawarecki fought hard to stay alive and maneuver into 18th place. She was very proud of being the last woman standing, and we salute her for that.

Well played!

Sam Trickett - 17th Place
Sam Trickett - 17th Place

Wowzers.

Tanya Gawarecki was all in preflop for around 100,000. Both Sam Trickett and Kevin Odell had her at risk and would also play for a side pot.

The dealer flopped {q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Odell quickly led for 75,000. Trickett raised to 200,000, Odell re-raised to 500,000 and Tricket moved all in for 760,000. Odell tanked but eventually called and all three hands were tabled.

Showdown
Gawarecki: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Trickett: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Odell: {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Tricket's set of queens had him in the lead, but the {k-Clubs} spiked on the turn giving Odell a full house. Trickett shot up from his chair in disgust as a meaningless {j-Hearts} rivered eliminating he and Gawarecki from the tournament.

Odell was shipped a wave of chips, and now has a mountain of 2,000,000 in front of him.
