Action Resumes

We're back. Sounds like we'll finish out this level, play through the next one-hour level, then the remaining players will be taking a dinner break (about 7 p.m. local time).

A Quick Break

With about eight minutes to go in the current level, we're taking an unscheduled 10-minute break to settle some technical issues involved with the streaming broadcast. See you back on the other side.

A Nice Turn for Rosen

Limit

Timothy Finne raised from middle position, and Jamie Rosen made it three bets from the cutoff. It folded back to Finne who made the call.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Spades}, inciting a betting and raising war between the pair. To be precise, Finne checked, Rosen bet, Finne raised, Rosen three-bet, Finne four-bet, and Rosen called

The turn was the {A-Diamonds}. Finne bet, and Rosen called with his remaining chips. Finne showed {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for kings, but that turn had helped Rosen a great deal as he held {A-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair. The river was the {2-Hearts}, and Rosen doubles to about a half million, while Finne slips back to the 700,000-chip range

Smith and Solomon Tangle

Limit

It was folded around to Gavin Smith in the small blind who limped in and Jarred Solomon checked his option.

The flop came down {4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Smith bet and Solomon called. The turn brought the {6-Spades}, and again, Smith bet and Solomon called.

On the {q-Spades} river, Smith checked to Solomon who bet. Smith flicked his cards into the muck and Solomon collected the pot.

Daniel Idema Eliminated in 7th Place ($35,601)

Daniel Idema - 7th place

No-Limit

The last hand of the current no-limit hold'em round saw some big action. Jamie Rosen got things going with an opening raise from early position, and it folded to Daniel Idema who reraised all in from the cutoff for 374,000. Then Timothy Finne called all in from the small blind for his last 313,000. Michael Muchnik folded the BB, and Rosen thought a bit before making the call.

Cards on their backs...

Finne {A-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Rosen {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Idema {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop came {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Rosen's jacks were still best. But the {k-Clubs} on the turn put Finne ahead. The river was the {7-Spades}, and Finne scores a huge triple up, while Rosen took the small side pot.

Idema is out, Finne catapults to about 950,000 and the current chip lead, and Rosen slips toward the back of the pack with 380,000.

Dan Battle

No-Limit

Daniel Idema limped from the small blind and Danny Hannawa checked from the big blind.

The flop came down {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and both players checked.

They checked the {8-Hearts} turn as well.

When the {10-Diamonds} fell on the river, Idema check-called Hannawa's 22,000 bet.

Hannawa turned over {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds} to take the pot with kings and tens.

Solomon Turning It Around

Jarred Solomon
Jarred Solomon

No-Limit

Jamie Rosen opened with a raise to 39,000, and Gavin Smith called from the button. Jarred Solomon took a peek to his right, then pushed his entire stack of 346,000 in from the small blind -- to the roaring approval of his supporters in attendance.

Dan Idema folded the big blind, and both Rosen and Smith quickly got out as well. "Show the deuce!" was the cry from the bleachers. Whatever Solomon had, he chose not to share.

Solomon has worked his way back to 420,000 now.
