Brock Parker has eliminated Annette Obrestad here in Round 2. The two-time WSOP bracelet winner gave us the scoop on how the final hand went.
Following a flop of , Obrestad bet 5,000, Parker raised to 14,000, Obrestad reraised all in for 40,000 total, and Parker called.
Obrestad held for top pair and a flush draw, while Parker had flopped a set with . Parker's hand held up, and he moves on.
Jason Mercier found himself all in with versus , but on this occasion his coin landed on the wrong side, the board favouring Jeremy Coon and sending him through.
Steve Gross has eliminated Carlos Mortensen to move on to tomorrow's round of 64.
Ashton Griffin has won, beating Antoine Berube.
And Phil Gordon has advanced to Day 2. Gordon had the lead for much of his match against Benjamin Sulsky. Finally came a hand in which following a flop, Sulsky ended up committing all his chips with for tens and hoped to fade Gordon's flush draw with . But the came on the turn, making the river inconsequential.
After a dogged battle with online titan Brian Hastings, Kevin Saul has come out the other end smelling of roses and booked his place in Round 3. The final hand saw all monies hit the middle on a flop, Saul with his nose in front with against Hasting's . The turn and river were close, but no cigar, and Hasting's hit the deck.
Antonio Esfandiari has knocked out Dennis Bejedel. Esfandiari took the advantage early in this one, and maintained it pretty much throughout.
Finally came a hand in which the flop came , providing enough incentive for Bejedel to commit the last of his chips. Bejedel had , but unfortunately for him Esfandiari had him barely outkicked with .
The turn was the and river the , and Esfandiari advances to round three.
Alex Keating has been dispatched by Scott Clements. Keating was pretty short upon demise, but the crucial hand occurred several minutes previous, the board reading and Clements scooping up a chunky pot with versus . They did chop a pot with facing the same hand, but that merely delayed Keating's demise by a couple more hands. As a result, Clements moves one notch closer to his third WSOP bracelet.

Chidwick found himself short, and was forced to commit the last of his 23,000 with versus Williams' . The board went , and Chidwick is out. Williams moves on to the final 64.
Jordan “iMsoLucky0” Morgan raised his button to 2,400 and Mauro Stivoli defended his big blind. The flop ran out , but neither player seemed interested, both cautiously tapping their finger against the felt.
On the turn, however, Stivoli was less hospitable, leading out for 3,000. Morgan made the call. The river brought a , and Stivoli once again fired out a bet, this time 6,200.
Morgan pushed all in and Stivoli made the call, but mucked his cards upon being shown the bad news: Morgan had rivered a flush with and was through to Round 3.
