Hand #47: Watt and Randall Copy Each Other

Tom Dwan has the button in Seat 4.

Under the gun, Simon Watt raises to 125,000, and David Randall comes along from the big blind with the calling chips.

Flop: {A-Spades} {2-Clubs} {K-Hearts}, and both players check. The turn is the {3-Hearts}, and the action repeats itself with two checks. The {2-Spades} fills out the board, and Randall takes that as a signal to bet out 90,000. Watt quickly calls.

Randall: {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}
Watt: {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}

Well, that's just not very exciting, now is it? Chop it up, and let's get on with the next hand.

Hand #46: Randall Doubles

Jason Young has the button in Seat 1.

David Randall raises to 120,000 from under the gun, Tom "durrrr" Dwan calls from the small blind and Austin McCormick three-bets to 390,000 from the big blind.

Randall four-bets all in, Dwan folds and McCormick makes the call. It's race time:

Showdown
McCormick: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Randall: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The flop falls {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} bringing a back-door flush draw for McCormick and the {3-Diamonds} on the turn keeps the draw alive.

The rail shouts a myriad of cards as the dealer spikes the {J-Spades} on the river doubling Randall to 3,350,000 chips and dropping McCormick to 1,600,000 chips.

Randall is now our chip leader.

George of the Jungle

About twenty minutes ago, the TV monitors went out above our featured table, much to the chagrin of the hoard of spectators perched atop the Jack Link's Lounge. Emcee Robbie apologized profusely on the microphone, saying he'd already called the technicians to come have a look.

Just a moment ago, one of the ESPN techies we know only as "George" came dashing into the room, jiggled a few wires, pressed a button, and revived our televisions. The crowd goes wild.

"George, George, George of the Jungle," was the chant over the microphone from Robbie. We're back in business over here.

"This is Not a Break"

Tom Dwan and at least one other player just sprinted off the stage following the last hand of that level. It appears we're on a two-minute unscheduled bathroom break. We'll be playing 25,000/50,000 with a running ante of 5,000 when we return.

"This is not a break!" commanded emcee Robbie.

Hand #44: McCormick's Ladies

David Randall has the button in Seat 8.

Tom Dwan raises to 105,000 under the gun, and Austin McCormick appears to be thinking sinister thoughts. He eventually just makes a smooth call, and the flop comes {2-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}.

Dwan taps the table slowly, and McCormick is deep in thought, his face again obscured by his gray hoodie. He finally checks it back.

Turn: {5-Clubs}, and the action check-checks again to the {8-Diamonds} river. Check-check again, how dull.

McCormick shows {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades}, and he takes it down.

Michael Smith Eliminated in 6th Place ($105,185)

Hand #43:

Austin McCormick has the button in Seat 5.

Michael Smith open shoves for 800,000 and Austin McCormick reshoves on the button. The blinds release and the hands are tabled:

Showdown

McCormick: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Smith: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Smith stands and grabs his backpack as the flop falls {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

Both straps are on as the {2-Clubs} turns.

He takes his first steps towards the rail as the {A-Spades} rivers, and shakes some hands before going to collect the $105,185 he earned for 6th place.

McCormick now sits with 3,000,000 chips.

Hand #41: Durrrr Three-Bets

Michael Smith has the button in Seat 2.

David Randall raises to 90,000 from under the gun. Action folds to Tom "durrrr" Dwan who re-raises to 280,000 from the small blind. Austin McCormick gives up his big blind and after a few moments of deliberation Randall folds to the three-bet.
