Mueller Likes Queens

In the last hand of Level 2, Greg Mueller raised from middle position, Jose Barbero called, then Marc Naalden three-bet and both Mueller and Barbero called.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. It checked to Naalden who bet, Mueller called, and Barbero got out. The turn was the {6-Clubs}, and Mueller check-called Naalden's bet.

The river brought the {4-Spades}. Again, check-bet-call. Mueller showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for the overpair of queens, and Naalden mucked.

Full Blown Aces

Greg "Full Blown Tilt" Mueller opened with a raise from the button, Jose "Nacho" Barbero three-bet from the small blind, Marc Naalden folded the BB, then Mueller made it four bets and Barbero called.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Barbero checked, Mueller bet, and Barbero called. The turn was the {K-Clubs}, and again Barbero check-called Mueller's bet.

The river was the {2-Spades}, and Barbero check-called one more time, only to see Mueller turn over {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Barbero mucked, now down all of the way to 90,000. Mueller, meanwhile, moves up to 610,000 and is challenging David Williams for the chip lead.

Straight to the Top for Williams

Jose "Nacho" Barbero raised from the hijack seat, and only David Williams came along from the small blind. The flop came {Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Spades}. Williams checked, Barbero bet, and Williams called. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and both players checked.

The river brought the {8-Diamonds}. This time Williams bet, and Barbero called. Williams showed {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for the straight, and Barbero mucked.

Williams is at 600,000 -- in the lead at the moment -- while Barbero is the table's short stack with 220,000.

One for Naalden

Marc Naalden

Joep Van Den Bijgaart raised from early position, Marc Naalden three-bet from the button, Flaminio Malaguti called from the small blind, and Van Den Bijgaart also called.

The flop came {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Malaguti led with a bet, and the other two both called. The turn was the {3-Hearts}. This time Malaguti checked, Van Den Bijgaart bet, and both Naalden and Malaguti called.

The river was the {A-Hearts}. This time it checked to Naalden who bet, Malaguti folded, and Van Den Bijgaart called. Naalden showed {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, and Van Den Bijgaart mucked.

After having lost a couple of pots, Naalden is up to about 500,000 now.

To Win a Shootout, You Have to Keep Firing

On a flop of {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Jose "Nacho" Barbero check-called Greg "FBT" Mueller's bet. Barbero did the same for the {4-Hearts} turn.

When the river came {Q-Diamonds}, Barbero checked again, Mueller bet again, and Barbero let it go. Mueller flashed K-J -- king-high -- as he dragged the pot.

Barbero falls below the 300,000 mark on that one, while Mueller is at about 600,000.

Ain't That the Kicker

Matt Sterling raised from the button, and Jose "Nacho" Barbero called from the big blind. The flop came {6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Barbero checked, Sterling bet, and Barbero called. The turn was the {Q-Hearts}. Barbero again checked, Sterling again bet, Barbero check-raised, and Sterling called.

The river was the {2-Clubs}. Barbero bet, and Sterling made the call. Barbero showed {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but Sterling had him outkicked with {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}.

Flaminio Finds Friend On Final Card

Flaminio Malaguti raised from the button and David Williams called in the small blind. On a flop of {J-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {8-Hearts}, Williams led out and then also bet the {4-Clubs} turn and {9-Spades} river. But on this last card, Malaguti raised and Williams thought for a moment before giving it up.
